Tatum's left side of the floor 3s and midranges are much better than the right side
But when he puts his man on the block and fades it’s good either side, I think, and basically can’t be blocked. It’s a way better shot than his sidestep.

I earnestly think this might be their best win of the season. The Pelicans had them on the ropes early and were out working and out muscling them. Celtics tightened it all up and asserted themselves. I’ve been really pessimistic on this team (relative to their expected outcomes) but this is an example of them showing some growth that I don’t think we’ve seen enough from this group over the past few years

The one big thing that losing Marcus costs us is someone excited to take a charge, yeah.
Jaylen did great work on him. As House was noting, if they sag off him like KP and Horford were, he was doing work. He is going right back to it now too but his free throwing is pretty terrible rn

5 min left up big, terrible iso.

Joe, don’t let this become a thing today. Tell White/Jrue to take the ball up.

The C's may have an ISO problem but I think New Orleans has a McCollum problem in addition to a can't stop any of the C's problem.

White is this team’s Ray Allen. There’s nobody I want with the ball more close and late.

The game's turning point was definitely the third quarter, when they turned on the defense. That was impressive to see and bodes well for the playoffs.

they just went at mccollum every single possession down the stretch
And got everything they wanted even if they didn't convert. They would two man him, get the switch and if New Orleans helped that left White or Tatum open at the perimeter.

The thing about this team is when you have KP going to work down low, he isn't just good with post moves or passing. He has players like Tatum, Brown, Holiday and White to kick it out to if he gets bogged down. That's really tough for opposing defenses as the worst of them is better than most teams release valves.

It's not even that he's a great shooter (which he is), it's that he always makes the right play. Other than Denver (where Jokic backs his defender right under the basket for a 5 foot hook shot), that's all anyone could ask for.

White personifies the "good to great" offensive approach
