Tyler Adams with a simple tap in goal for Leipzig. He's playing wide right (as he's done a few times) and is playing his usual, disruptive and aggressive game. Nice to see.

Aaronson with a goal and assist in a friendly for RB Salzburg (his debut)

In one week, Hoppe has gone from no goals to Schalke's leading goal scorer. Seems totally out of nowhere.

Serie A 20-21 Juventus Against the Field

Even though it's closer to 1/3 of the way through the season, are we calling this the halfway point? Lots of interesting things both behind us and to come: AC and Inter have slightly, sort of pulled ahead: this could be a lot of fun in Milan AC Milan scored the fastest goal to start a game in...

FFS do I now need to watch Cagliari? At least they can't have any fans in the stands now, but when they do have fans it can be ugly. Cagliari ultras do rank behind Lazio ultras for me, but not by much. Off the top of my head, Moises Kean, Romalu Lukaku, Matuidi and Sulley Muntari were all...

Would this be the largest transfer fee for an American player from MLS to Europe? It's gotta be up there. I imagine that Juve are looking for the long term replacement for Cuadrado. I'm curious where he will be loaned to. Juve seem to like to loan to Parma and Genoa who are both in Serie A...

Fair enough. I'm more than willing to throw the Barca leadership under the bus for the move that they have made that has set the club up for disaster (minus Dest, of course). I'm sure that's what they told Hristo, but really were thinking "we'd rather pay more money for a player who does not...

I would think players like Davies and Tyler Adams who played in MLS and made the transition to Germany play a role in helping European clubs get a feel how skills translate from MLS. I do remember some experts saying that they felt like North America in general was a type of market inefficiency...

    Ligue 1 television deal collapses

This is a bummer. I've found Ligue 1 to be really entertaining whenever I watched a game (admittedly a lot less than La Liga, Serie A, or the Bundesliga). Before the recent rise of PSG, it seemed like the league championship would come down to the last weekend with multiple teams in the running...

    USMNT: Hold My Beer

For me, the two soon-to-be-former-Philly guys, Aaronson (off to RB Salzburg) and McKenzie (likely off to Europe in January too)

FC Barcelona 2020-2021: The Return of House Oranje

I think we all knew that the finances were in rough shape, but this was a little more dire of a situation than I anticipated. The facts now are that Messi is likely to leave for nothing except salary relief (which apparently they aren't paying right now anyways) and that there is a bloated...

It's in the UCL thread. This goal pretty much seals McKennie as my favorite US player since Clint.

It's also the first time I have seen Bayern use him at CB. Every other time has been at RB which isn't his preferred position. It makes sense as it's rare for to give youngsters a lot of time at CB where mistakes are often deadly. Like you said though, nice to see. Hell of a game too

McKennie comes off the bench to equalize in the derby. His first goal for Juve after going 90 minutes midweek in the Champions League.

Serie A 20-21 Juventus Against the Field

Milan have opened up a 5 point lead (yeah, it's early) with Inter in second. Zlatan has definitely inspired something within Milan. Inter might actually benefit from crashing out of the Champions League and maybe not getting into the Europa League as this would ease the fixture crunch...
