Wow. Crazy end for Jax. Reminded me a bit of that Tenn-Rams super bowl (is that the one?).

Justin Herbert is 6’10”. How do you not quick snap and sneak there?

Are the Titans and the Ravens bad teams? If so, are there really any good teams outside of the BIlls and the Eagles?
No, but Carolina, Chicago, Green Bay and Jacksonville are, and those were all one score games (Chicago was 20-12, I guess that's a one score game). The Giants have won 6 games while out scoring their opponents by a total of 20 points.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a Giants fan and I'm loving this franchise actually have a spell of success after years of bitter failure. But it's still more than a bit smoke and mirrors.

QB play across the board feels like it's the lowest it has been in a long time.

I think it's the defenses, more than the QBs.

They are playing players who are much much faster and not lumbering refrigerators and that means there is just less space for the WRs. And then the two high safety is keeping everything in front of the offense, so you need to dink and dunk to be successful. So one mistake ends a drive. And it's easy to make mistakes.

I think when the quality of play is down across the league, coaching becomes a bigger factor. And the Giants are exceedingly well-coached. Neither you nor they have to apologize for that.

Texans running all over LA but forced to kick after passing on both 2nd and 3rd and 2. Either way, things aren’t looking great for McDaniels second and final ride on the HC carousel.

They are making it seem like a miracle that McCaffrey is playing today. He's a running back, he doesn't need a huge grasp of the playbook to play some snaps.

Absolutely. Denver picked Latavius Murray off the street on Tuesday and he took 15 carries on Thursday.

That’s what I didn’t really get. Jimmy can’t just say, outside zone right to CMC after the play call?

Like he doesn’t need to know all the verbiage and every route in the book if you just tell him what to do in the huddle.

Giants are capitalizing on all the dumb football and inopportune turnovers/penalties/missed kicks/poor coaching/etc that have been plaguing themselves for years.

Pats fan here but married into a Giants fam, and we just inherited two of my FIL’s season tix (by choice, not death). Definitely much happier tailgates this year than seasons past.

DK Metcalf is getting carted off to the locker room. Hope the bathroom stall is available so that he can return quickly...

edit: ouch looks like he's out for the day with a knee injury. That sucks.

QB rating coming into this week was 88.8 league-wide after finishing 90.8 in 2021 and 93.6 in 2020. This would be the lowest since 2017 if it holds, and I'd expect it to drop a bit as the weather worsens.

What's happened to Deebo between this year and last? Seems like SF has no idea how to use him.
