Marquette-UNC getting chippy. Morsell of Marquette grabbing Love around the neck, but the announcers are ignoring that a UNC player dove into the scrum and kneed a Marquette player in the head in the process.
Being in an 8-9 game and getting absolutely boat-raced is kind of incredible. Shaka Smart might have gotten more out of a single Final Four appearance than any other coach in history.
Actually, I take back what I said about Shaka Smart because I just remembered that Tom Crean exists.
So one and done for the Huskies eh? Hurley sure can recruit and sure can’t coach x’s and o’s. I never understand why these guys don’t have an assistant that is great at the in-game stuff. He better have a great halftime talk. 22 first half points is silly bad.
Ended the half on a 9-2 tuna d lead down to 7. Probably bad news going into the 2nd.

Seeing how he’s under contract until 2028 (I think) and they just paid Ollie 11 million… lots of patience, Hurley is not going anywhere. He’s a great motivator, recruiter, kids seem to love him but yeah (putting it nicely) he’s a below average in game coach.
If you're Kentucky why not take a shot with more time on the clock to try to get the offensive rebound? Like 5 seconds or so?

I was rooting for the upset but he was pretty intolerable down the stretch with his antics I thought. Also - did anyone else think their coach (Chris Jans) looked nearly identical to Ted Cruz?
At the same time, as a self-professed Hurley fan while he was with my alma mater URI...I had to laugh when the UConn fan kept yapping on the hot mic to tee up that player. Hurley is typically the only person near the court that deserves to be T'd up!
