Their defense was softer than puppy shit in the second half. Strange team to figure.
I mean the 49ers defense helped in the loss. Gave up 9/15 third downs, couldn't tackle, and poor secondary.
Been saying this for years.
Maybe Trey Lance will do it, maybe not.
But way to disappoint defense. That was a pathetic display in the 2nd half.
Overtime should just be each team getting one play from their own 25 until someone scores. That’d be amazing.
I feel bad for Lance. It is really going to be tough for him to live up to what they gave up for him.
Edit - I mean they could have just stayed at 12 and took Mac Jones, KS would have used him well. As a Pats fan I am glad that didn't happen.
I’m surprised they don’t work Lance into more packages, particularly in the red zone, short yardage or when Jimmy’s four yard darts to his outlet receiver aren’t working.

That was Deebo with a spectacular play mostly (which hurt more as the Titans then methodically drove down against a useless defense and won the game). I mean part of a good drive is having receivers making the plays, but Jimmy G clearly showed that he is not it. Again. A better QB who makes better throws and better decisions and it's 20-0 at halftime. But the defense was pathetic in the second half. Props to AJ Brown but still a pathetic display.
This guy is a young writer trying to make a name for himself by being the asshole/"truth teller" of Bay Area sports media, but he's not wrong.

Chubb is FINALLY being used as a wide receiver. I've been saying for months they should utilize him more.
