Short money and he is probably better fit on the team than Wanamaker. No god dear no
with Kemba's knee, you'll get your wish plentyMeh. Would probably have enjoyed watching Waters as the 3rd PG more.
I think some team will give Waters an NBA deal and the C's won't/can't.with Kemba's knee, you'll get your wish plenty
Edwards or Tre is gone....I guess Carsen has the inside trackI think some team will give Waters an NBA deal and the C's won't/can't.
If that's how the 2 way deals work anyway.
I think they'll offer Waters another 2 way and if he declines he's gone. I don't expect them to eat Edwards' deal based on how they've gone so far. They'll give him a chance to recoup valueEdwards or Tre is gone....I guess Carsen has the inside track
Correct. Waters is restricted free agent. I think they're limited to roughly $1.5M in terms of matching, but could be off $200K-$300K or so.I think some team will give Waters an NBA deal and the C's won't/can't.
If that's how the 2 way deals work anyway.
Agreed. Really a bad break that they will miss summer league. Celtics have 100 guys on the roster who could have used the reps and the opportunity to show what they can do.I think they'll offer Waters another 2 way and if he declines he's gone. I don't expect them to eat Edwards' deal based on how they've gone so far. They'll give him a chance to recoup value
Where have I seen this before???Well, the Celtics just got nastier and more physical.

This exactly. The biggest thing for me with this and the TT signing is that you’ve helped decrease the variance of the bench performance with a pair of pretty steady vets who know what they’re doing out there.
It also provides versatility. The biggest thing for me with this and the TT signing is that you’ve helped decrease the variance of the bench performance with a pair of pretty steady vets who know what they’re doing out there.
Yeah, both the point guard and big man rotations are now improved over last year (how much is up for debate), which is super important for a team that wants to be in title contention right now, not in 2-3 years. Just hope that you get enough improvement at the wing from Tatum/Brown/Nesmith/Langford to make up for Hayward, and you're golden.I don’t understand anyone that hates either of these deals. The Cs need to stop having every bench spot taken up by a guy that “might one day be a top 15 backup wing.” They need proven players. Yes, neither are the sexy choice, but we just got a PG that can/HAS run an offense and hit a three and a big that knows how to do the little things that help a team win. These are absolutely positive deals
Its also they know their roles. They aren't trying to figure out who they are in the NBA, like Scary Terry coming into a game thinking he can be the man. That’s a good group. I would probably swap Nesmith and Langford in that grouping since I think Romeo is more of a G and Nesmith more a wing/F.So basically at this point, the relevant players are (I don't count Waters, Tacko, etc. as relevant):
G - Smart, Kemba, Teague, Pritchard, Nesmith
F - Brown, Tatum, GWill, Langford, Semi
C - Theis, Thompson, RWIII
That's not a bad group.
Move Semi and a future pick for a better shooter if you can. Langford plays the Semi role (defensive wing). That’s a good group. I would probably swap Nesmith and Langford in that grouping since I think Romeo is more of a G and Nesmith more a wing/F.
Think we’re one bench shooter short. If you can move Langford for a better shooter, I think you’re in business.

You love it when it’s you’re team, but....
hilariously embarrassing and stupid. You love it when it’s you’re team, but....
In practically every one of those incidents, Danny starts things with a cheap shot and then immediately gets in the face / starts attacking the guy, as if HE was the one who received the cheap shot. Hilarious
4:00. Larry Legend at the bottom of the pile in that scrum with ATL. Jesus, Larry! You’re an MVP! Don’t risk injury diving into a brawl.2:45
Phoenix Danny, going with the full wind up, throwing the ball in the face of that Rocket has me crying
Like both of these moves. This team does not need any additional 22 year olds getting minutes. They could use some experienced vets in the rotation and as you note, Teague is a huge upgrade over Wannamaker, especially in his ability to set up our scorers.Wow what a great pickup! Did not see this coming as a Wanamaker upgrade. One of the leagues better 2nd unit PGs who can capably fill in if/when Kemba is out.
hilariously embarrassing and stupid.
He looks like the worst behaved 10yr old on the playground, except he's a grown man playing in front of 15,000 on TV.View attachment 36554
Seriously, Danny must’ve been the most irritating player to play and root against. He makes Grayson Allen look like a choir boy in those videos.
This is incredible. Such memories. Not sure of my favorite but firing the ball at Ellie’s face while trying to sell the officials that this was a typical basketball play has always been one of my favorites. I never saw him egg on Dumars in that one but it is great as well.View attachment 36554

Who’s the guy in warm ups who dives in the pile throwing haymakers in the first video? Carr?
Lol at DJ being all Team Moncrief after Sidney had just body slammed Ainge.
The most offense part of that video is Charles Barkley shooting a step back 3You love it when it’s you’re team, but....

Yeah, it was pretty much the Jeff Daniels snow ball throw in “Dumb and Dumber”. Except it was a basketball...Ainge was a Major League 3rd baseman. That must have stung
Looked to me like he was in a daze from hitting his head on the media table on their way down. He probably had a pretty bad concussion.Lol at DJ being all Team Moncrief after Sidney had just body slammed Ainge.
The Ainge of it all is our boy committing some atrocity then acting like he is the victim. In the beginning of that video he absolutely trucks a New York Knick (Johnny Newman?) and then looks shocked that the Knick takes a swing. This is incredible. Such memories. That’s exactly it. Back in high school, there was this kid in my neighborhood who was filthy but was two years younger than me. We’d always end up matched up in pickup, and I’d 100% resort to these type of bullshit tactics whenever he’d work me like Dumars or MJ worked DA. Every other game ended in a fight, but he’d be back there the next day to school me and make me lose my shit. He went on to play a bench role for New Mexico State, so maybe not quite MJ or Dumars, but those clips bring back some memories of adolescent frustration and severe lack of impulse control. He looks like the worst behaved 10yr old on the playground, except he's a grown man playing in front of 15,000 on TV.
He's our 10yr old, so we love him.
Ohellyes! It also gives us the "all-tough" unit: Teague, Smart, GW, TT, and throw in Tatum to keep them honest. If someone needs their nose bloodied, then we have willing participants. McHale and Danny recall what that meant back in '83.
Marcus Smart's post-game explosion after a playoff loss may have led Danny/Brad to look for some physical/edgier role players. Teague/TT probably don't let Herro run around like he owns the jointIt also gives us the "all-tough" unit: Teague, Smart, GW, TT, and throw in Tatum to keep them honest. Teague has at least three elite instigator skills:

Probably caused a concussion to boot. It’s among the biggest dick moves I can recall from a basketball game. In today’s game he would have a lengthy suspension and a heavy fine.Ainge was a Major League 3rd baseman. That must have stung
