I mean, this play is really pushing it. That’s about as bad of a play by a catcher as I can recall, he flat out missed a throw.Classic Rays victory. Make the other team screw up.
Hey, man. Who would expect a catcher to be able to handle a throw?I mean, this play is really pushing it. That’s about as bad of a play by a catcher as I can recall, he flat out missed a throw.
Yeah, this was dumb to me too, save the effort and just go after Phillips. Why didnt they just save the pitches and walk Arozarena?
Eric Byrnes hobbled away after Varitek blocked the plate, which is something you'd never see nowadays.I don't remember the exact specifics but that last play at the plate reminded me of that A's/Sox ALDS game at Fenway, the outcome flipping three times in like twenty seconds.
True, but Arozarena running around third and forcing the throw home was a key to the Keystone Cops aspect. And then falling down. Maybe the catcher was distracted. Why else would he miss a perfect throw?I mean, this play is really pushing it. That’s about as bad of a play by a catcher as I can recall, he flat out missed a throw.
Well, it will be really interesting to see what they do in the next game.Dodgers just don’t have it in them.
