Not really that weird. There are four AFC guards on the first and second team All Pro and only three in the Pro Bowl, so one of them was bound not to make it (as it turns out, Bitonio and Thuney both didn't make the Pro Bowl and David DeCastro did). Nelson also got 44 / 50 votes for LG, so Thuney only needed 3 to make 2nd-team All-Pro (which is probably a more meaningless distinction than the Pro Bowl).Thuney makes second team all-pro, making him one of the top four guards in the NFL, but doesn't make the pro-bowl roster.
Not as strange as Khalil Mack last yearTJ Watt made the first team as an Edge player and the 2nd team as a LB. Seems kind of strange.
How many voters watch special teams for all teams in the NFL. For the record here's the votes:I loved to know the rational for anyone not voting for Slater. Arguably more dominant at his position than any other player.
Also noteworthy: Brady is now 1st overall in career AV, passing Manning. If he retires before Brees it's possible Brees will finish 1st overall (currently 4 points behind Manning and 14 points behind Brady). Also, I just realized that Pro Football Reference has the 2019 Adjusted Value calculations out. Lamar Jackson had an AV of 26 (!) this year, tied for the highest ever recorded, with LaDanian Tomlinson's 31 TD season in 2006.

I didn't know Wilson had that good of a year. But I didn't watch many Seahawks games.
Thanks, my memory is getting worse. He was in the MVP conversation for the first half of the year.
Yeah it was 99% down to him and Lamar at one point( and then Lamar pulled away one night game and never looked back.He was in the MVP conversation for the first half of the year.
One bad game in a sea of absolute brilliance. The voters got it right.Kind of surprised he won after getting embarrassed in the last game of the season, but I guess I can't think of anyone else who deserved it more.
Plus I'm not sure how many voters were truly paying attention to the Pats game.. no one expected a Pats lossOne bad game in a sea of absolute brilliance. The voters got it right.
