Im half watching on Sunday Ticket - why did the Lions go for 2 down 8?? XP gets them down by 7?
It's an analytics play, as Scott Hanson has been saying on Red Zone. Getting two in that situation gives you a better chance to win in regulation.
I suppose if you are going to be the career leader in pick 6s you have to be pretty damn good because otherwise you would be cut
Going for 2 gives you a better chance. Getting the 2 gives you a WAY better chance.
I will never understand that punt from that position. It doesn't make any sense and it happens a lot. The Browns did it on Thursday, too.
But now they HAVE to make a 2 pt conv. A coin flip in OT is not the WP there.
Kicking the XP still allows a decision for 2pt vs XP on the second TD. Seems to box you in decision wise
