I think people are predisposed to hating New England teams anyway and everyone will remember the Kevin Love incident because he plays with LeBron.
Everyone around the league know that Olynyk isn't about that life.As IT said after the game, I think Oubre reacted this way bc he knows exactly what olynk is (not) all about. He wouldn't be stepping that way at Jae.
That subtle shade from IT4 was a little surprising to me, but it's also fair, and could be seen as a compliment in a certain way: Olynyk keeps his cool.Everyone around the league know that Olynyk isn't about that life.
I can't wait to sign up for some Dray-bo lessonsI love this:

It's about Draymond Green's opinion on the matter. Guy who keeps hitting people in the balls thinks Olynyk is a dirty player. Only evidence cited is that he pulled on a dude's arm a few years ago while going for a rebound.
He is insisting he never hit anyone in the balls with his foot. He just hit them with his shin. Clearly he knows clean playing.I can't wait to sign up for some Dray-bo lessons
"I haven't kicked anybody," Green told ESPN. "You kick somebody with your foot, not your shin. I don't know who taught them how to kick if they're kicking with their shin. You kick with your foot.
Sure you do, if you want to break your foot.I can't wait to sign up for some Dray-bo lessons

"For one game"Never been happier to have been proven totally wrong for one game in my entire life.
Olynyk played the best game of his career in a Game 7 at the Garden. No matter where he ends up you don't ever forget nights like this.Never been happier to have been proven totally wrong for one game in my entire life.
A lot of really good players will never have a game like that on that big of a stage in their entire career. Good job by him.Olynyk played the best game of his career in a Game 7 at the Garden. No matter where he ends up you don't ever forget nights like this.
Although people are kind of forgetting the 31 Eddie House put up against Orlando in one playoff series.Olynyk played the best game of his career in a Game 7 at the Garden. No matter where he ends up you don't ever forget nights like this.
It will be interesting to see what KO decides to do next year (or what his choices are). If he played for a team like SAC that didn't have a chance to win, he could play 30 minutes a game (when he's not fouling out) and he'd have a lot more shot attempts by which to put up pretty good numbers. A part of him has to want to see what he could do given the opportunity to play more.A lot of really good players will never have a game like that on that big of a stage in their entire career. That wasn't a Game 7 and we had a comfortable double-digit from right out of the gate. House didn't really go off until the game was well in hand iirc.Although people are kind of forgetting the 31 Eddie House put up against Orlando in one playoff series.
I've tried to follow the team a lot since Stevens took over and remember reading something about Kris Kardashin doing grueling workouts after games where he got a DNP. KO would train with him.BTW, I liked that Al said that KO was "probably the hardest worker on the team." That says a lot given the players on this team.
I assume you left out the words "off the bench"? Since IT scored 29 yesterday and Pierce and Bird both scored more than that, but as starters. Not sure if it's been cited elsewhere but the last guy to have scored more points than Olynyk for the C's in a Game 7 was 52 years ago. You may remember the guy who did it also had a pretty famous steal on the final play of that game...

My instinct is to say this is one of the ways we've been spoiled by the playoff teams in that gap.Yes, sorry. Hondo was the last non-starter to score more than Olynyk in a Game 7 for the Celtics. 15 April, 1965.
They have actually played more game 7s than any other franchise - a product of their historic success. Lots of playoff appearances and series wins.My instinct is to say this is one of the ways we've been spoiled by the playoff teams in that gap.
That sounds impressive and it is - except the reason for it is that many Cs playoff teams were so good there were few game sevens, and the ones they did were usually in the later rounds against the cream of the crop.
I believe they set a record for most losses by a champion (10)In 2008 the first round (vs Atlanta) and the second round (vs Cleveland) both went seven. The two later rounds (Detroit and LA) only went six.
Oops... LolThey have actually played more game 7s than any other franchise - a product of their historic success. Lots of playoff appearances and series wins.
The thing about last night that I hadn't seen from KO before was that he received the ball up top or outside most of the time where he normally gets it – yet often drove inside 1-on-1. And if he drew a second guy over he passed it. If he could do that with any regularity ...The frustrating thing with Olynyk is I feel he could get more out of his skills around the basket - its a tradeoff since he sits at the 3 pt line a lot and that contributes to the overall efficiency of the offense. But he really showed off that great touch last night.
IMO, that's because as soon as he saw either Mahinmi or Bogdanovic following him out to the 3pt line he said to himself, "Self, if either of these guys is within 3 feet of me, I can go around them." There may be more than just those two guys that he can do that against, but he doesn't seem to think so.The thing about last night that I hadn't seen from KO before was that he received the ball up top or outside most of the time where he normally gets it – yet often drove inside 1-on-1. That shows in one way how ridiculous the Russell teams were, that Havlicek didn't start until his fourth season. McHale took even longer to start all the time, until his sixth season. They're each top five all time Celtics, a team with an embarrassment of all time players.Yes, sorry. Hondo was the last non-starter to score more than Olynyk in a Game 7 for the Celtics. 15 April, 1965.
Games 7's with McHale as 6th manI might have thought that McHale might have bested that number when he was a 6th man, but my guess is that he had limited Game 7's in that time
9 is way too low. He's getting at least 4/60.Can't really justify paying him more than about $9M per year and sadly that probably doesn't get it done. Will probably try to upgrade the PF/C position via trade or bring in a cheap replacement. I would be surprised if Danny rolls into next season with a big rotation of aging Al Horford, gimpy Amir, poor man's Olynyk aka Jerebko, and unproven rookies Zizic and Yabooty.
