Deserves a finger wagging with never do that again. What about now?
He's manly. So is his team. BWhat was the point of Tomlin calling the 2PC there? I'd take the point to go up 5 -- if you give up a TD, you can still win with a FG. The 2PC only helps in the unlikely event of a missed XP, or Cindy somehow assembling two FG drives.
On the bright side, if he comes up short here, it's more likely that someone else will be the Jags' QB next season.Bortles gonna Bortles
I'm probably crazy, but I still believe that with a competent coaching staff Bortles could be a league average starting QB.On the bright side, if he comes up short here, it's more likely that someone else will be the Jags' QB next season.
I agree it was a bad decision, but he's done a great job overall. Coach of the year candidate.Deserves a finger wagging with never do that again.
Bortles was good last season; the problem is that he has unexpectedly taken about a half dozen steps back.I'm probably crazy, but I still believe that with a competent coaching staff Bortles could be a league average starting QB.
Who is going to give them a better outlook than him though? There's nothing in FA except Cousins who may end up staying with Washington or will cost an exorbitant amount of money. It's a weak QB draft. I can't see a trade that makes any sense. On the bright side, if he comes up short here, it's more likely that someone else will be the Jags' QB next season.
Denver lost in Tennessee. Big ups to Tennessee either way.Titans going on the road and beating Denver and KC is some pretty clutch football.
I would've agreed a year ago, but it increasingly seems that Bortles can't make accurate throws in game situations. I doubt that's fixable.I'm probably crazy, but I still believe that with a competent coaching staff Bortles could be a league average starting QB.
You can say that again.Bortles gonna Bortles
They changed his throwing motion again. They keep tinkering with his delivery, it's horrendous.I would've agreed a year ago, but it increasingly seems that Bortles can't make accurate throws in game situations. I doubt that's fixable.
My best guess is JAX's new management will bring in a retread like Fitzpatrick or RG3 to compete with Bortles for the starting job.
BB *loved* him coming out of collegeI'm probably crazy, but I still believe that with a competent coaching staff Bortles could be a league average starting QB.
I'm with you and I think some of us had this discussion a few weeks ago. He's tough as hell and very talented.I know Rivers has had a bad year, but he really has grown on me over the years. He has played for shitty teams forever and he never gives up.
He looks really trim. First couple years seemed like he might end up 300 pounds, with about 100 of those being vodka.Janikowski never misses.
While I agree with both of those, he also has a knack for throwing terrible interceptions in close games / comeback situationsI'm with you and I think some of us had this discussion a few weeks ago. He's tough as hell and very talented.
He's missed like 6 against the Broncos the past two seasons.Janikowski never misses.
According to CBS, they practiced with piped in crowd music because of how loud they expected the Raider fans to be.Chargers have the worst HFA in sports outside of maybe Tampa Bay Rays.
Shouldn't have caught it to begin with. You can tell Reggie Nelson hasn't been fully coached up yet---risky runback for no purpose whatsoever
Well, shit. While I agree with both of those, he also has a knack for throwing terrible interceptions in close games / comeback situations
Where's Troy Brown when you need him?You can tell Reggie Nelson hasn't been fully coached up yet---risky runback for no purpose whatsoever
