Chargers are playing like pretty good spoilers right now. Checked schedule and both the Raiders and Chiefs travel to SD for a game, but Denver is finished with them.

Terrible DPI call in Buffalo negates a Jags' INT, puts the Bills in FG range.

Giants look like trash. It's amazing how they are going to be 8-3.

Bad flag pickup in Baltimore. It was clearly DPI; the ball hit the receiver's hands.
Yeah, that was strange - defender clearly hit receiver way before ball got there, and ball was on target. Did it maybe get tipped at the line or something? Some other situation where PI can't happen?

Seems like a stretch for the Giants to beat Dallas but Pitt is a hot and cold team.
Giants are at home against Dallas so they could even win that one. They got lucky facing the Cowboys earlier in the opening game in Dallas before they opened the playbook with Dak...and still almost lost that game. Dallas had to settle for 4 FGs.

So a split is totally conceivable. They just sealed he game against Cleveland on a defensive TD. They've been bailed out quite a bit by incompetent Cleveland offense.

Giants in line for the 5 seed, which would put them at Atlanta or the Det/Minn/GB division winner in the first round

That was the Terrence Williams forgot to get out of bounds game.

After giving up a 50+ yard pass the play before.

Total Jekyll and Hyde effort.
Your opinion is suspect. That pass to Cruz you referred to a page ago was inbounds and Cruz was out of bounds. Millen/Stockton were right on the money that Cruz let himself be edged out of bounds while running the route.

Yep.

The Gmen could win a playoff game too because they do have some offensive passing weapons. But they have zero running game and their secondary can be had so it's hard to see them going deep unless the offense becomes a bit more balanced.

Except the ball was well short of the target and out of bounds as well. That is on Manning, not Cruz.

After burning my legs on each tackle when we played football (soccer) on artificial turf:

Why does nobody burn the skin on their arms when sliding over the turf?

Sorry, you must be watching on Red Zone or something. They showed the play again and it appeared to me to be an inbounds, short throw. If Cruz was a bit bigger, he would have carved out some space and made the catch.

espn: The Saints' offensive onslaught continues against their former DC Gregg Williams. WR Willie Snead throws a 50-yard TD pass to RB Tim Hightower for the 49-21 lead. And we've still got 10:15 remaining. ... Snead was a standout QB in high school before switching to WR at Ball State.

***

I wonder if Sean Payton is enjoying this one a bit -- Williams having dragged them into BountyGate, and holier than thou Fisher on the other sideline

Trying to imagine Sean Payton with an evil laugh.

Haha Rex. Up 7 4th and 1 sends out Manuel for the hardcount. Doesn't work. THEN HE BURNS A TIMEOUT INSTEAD OF TAKING THE 5 YARD DELAY OF GAME.

espn: The 49 points allowed by the Rams is tied for the fifth most points ever allowed by a Jeff Fisher team in his 22 years as a head coach.

I don't know which number is more absurd

Jags getting screwed both ways on PI calls and lack thereof.

Dalton 3 of last 5 knocked down at the line. Each time he stared down a WR loaded up, then throws right into D-lineman.

Too bad Bortles has a 10-cent head to go with that million-dollar arm.

Gus Bradley sucks too, but we knew that.

Tennessee trying to cough one up against the Bears. Just can't see Matt Barkley leading a game tying drive though.

Whoever takes over this Jaguars team for Bradley will probably go 10-6 next year with most of the same personnel.

I love Gus, and he probably should get another head coaching shot after this, but he needs to learn from his mistakes. This team just seems woefully unprepared every week.
Jags take a delay of game on 4th and 4. Then throw a 4 yard pass on 4th and 9.

I didn't watch much of the Bengals game but I did see them running the ball well. And then they get inside the 30 and all they do is try to pass. And the announcers saying the guy getting OOB on the one completion was a good move.
