Proof that this guy doesn’t know shit, and was being a reactionary asshole. No I think they collectively shit down their legs in big games. As an organization. It’s been happening for a long time.

Yeah, I was going to ask the same thing.Swayman had a monkey on his back?
Really?

Sure, he's been great but of course he lost Game 7 in each of the past two years.Swayman had a monkey on his back?

This is a good point. This year was the first that he was the number 1 guy from the start for the playoffs.First time Swayman was actually trusted and he delivered
Seriously, twice they played an injured goalie over him. He’s probably inspired now. This is a good point. This year was the first that he was the number 1 guy from the start for the playoffs.
Great. Looking forward to your positive vibes in the next round!Sure, he's been great but of course he lost Game 7 in each of the past two years.
Marchand was interviewed on ice after the game and straight up said last year was on their minds. They're only human. So tonight will purge all that extra baggage.
Next round is total gravy IMO. Florida is better so the Bruins are underdogs. I'd love to get revenge for last year but Florida is playing excellent hockey.Great. Looking forward to your positive vibes in the next round!
YesDoes Swayman showing he’s a true #1 now give them the freedom to move Ullmark in the offseason?
I understand.I'm still legitimately stunned at how much I needed that, without even realizing it.
I watched the game while playing a video game on the other screen and was honestly pretty chill.
But then Pasta scored and I fell out of my chair.
Holy shit.
Women weaken legsThey should stay in a hotel every home game.WAGS gotta understand you married a hockey player.
They need to be accountable. So maybe try, just once, not hammerin' ass all night the night before a game.Women weaken legs
Everyone knows that men are less inclined to bring women to their room when they’re, checks notes, alone in a hotel. They need to be accountable. So maybe try, just once, not hammerin' ass all night the night before a game.
You’re missing a cultural reference my friend.Everyone knows that men are less inclined to bring women to their room when they’re, checks notes, alone in a hotel.
I’m not here to tell you not to hammer ass. But you need to be accountable. Right, you never got any legs in the third because you already played a period between the sheets. If you wanna hammer ass all day, you can’t be dogging it come game time. They should stay in a hotel every home game.WAGS gotta understand you married a hockey player.

Hehe. Well done. The Twitter fingers are a long way from the heart, friend.
I made a comment to my son about the ice at some point last night. We were at game 5 and the ice seemed horrible. Pucks weren't sticking to sticks and guys on both teams were fanning on the puck a bunch. It was much cleaner last night.Game 7 was a rare game in Boston after May 1 where the ice conditions were maybe not especially terrible?
At the stretch involving the two goals: when Carlo went down, when DeBrusk lost and edge and then when a couple Toronto players fell, I thought the ice must be pretty gouged up, but there was otherwise not too many moments of rolling, bouncing pucks making for ugly hockey.
Maybe they caught a break there.
You think, with the speed of the game, a guy can wait for an on-edge puck to shoot it?Sort of related to that, in the slow-mo on Lindholm's tying goal, you could see the puck was up on edge when he shot it, and I was wondering if that might even be on purpose to try to get a tumbling shot that might move unexpectedly on Samsonov.
Sigh. And we all know the one the Sabres actually did win.
Hold my beer hermano. I was positive we were going to win that night, and even brought a case of exceptional tequila to the Garden for the all night party. I would have received a ring, the Cup for a day, my name on the Cup, and a very healthy check (which would have been spent on the Stanley Cup party at my house). Fuck.I fucking hated that game. That fucking goal.
I was so disappointed for you. Thought they had it. That fucking goal was a back breaker, after their sustained pressure. Also, I’m sure that you would have shared some tequila.Hold my beer hermano. Since leaving the team, my passion for sports has been mostly lost. I’m still interested, but don’t care enough to let it affect me either way. I haven’t watched a full game in any sport since retiring, and even last night I went to bed after the 2nd period after watching just bits and pieces of the first 2.
I think that fucking game 7 was what changed me.
But I still love that the Bruins beat the Leafs. They suck. Their analytics staff was amazingly arrogant, despite the dumb shit that team did. Fuck the Leafs.
The look on his face when they scored was not of excitement, but of relief. It was pretty intense. So, tonight did a few things:
- got the monkey off Monty's back in terms of winning a series after leading 3-1
- got the monkey off Swayman's back by getting his first series win and first Game 7 win
- coincidentally Swayman certainly looks like a horse they can ride in the playoffs.
- Pasta broke out of his slump
- Bruins did not become the first team in North American pro sports to blow a 3-1 series lead in consecutive years.
So maybe that will help these guys breathe a little bit better going forward.
Yeah I saw the weight drop from his shoulders immediately. The look on his face when they scored was not of excitement, but of relief. It was pretty intense.
Yep I punched my ticket as well. Choo choo.Readily boarding the "everything is gravy now" train.
Great find. It's absolutely the same play. Lindholm said that was a set play and you can see how they've been working on it. Pasta even went to the backhander both times. This looks familiar (may have already been posted):

The loss to the Giants in the 2007 SB broke me as a fan, I stopped caring about sports as much in general and the Bruins are the only team I'll allow myself to get stressed about. Even then, I avoid watching all 7 games, I just can't handle it.Hold my beer hermano. Yeah. This is the first time in a year that I actually feel like I can enjoy sports again. So nice not to have last year hanging over everything.Readily boarding the "everything is gravy now" train.
I've been there all along, but I wonder how many boarding this train will throw themselves off if we take one of the first two games hahaReadily boarding the "everything is gravy now" train.
I was thinking more in the sense of not waiting for it to settle, though the other side of that is that he may want to just shoot anyway because he doesn't have time for it to settle. It was just an idle thought, anyway. You think, with the speed of the game, a guy can wait for an on-edge puck to shoot it?
Good point on the bolded. Wasn’t trying to be snarky, could have sounded like it.I was thinking more in the sense of not waiting for it to settle, though the other side of that is that he may want to just shoot anyway because he doesn't have time for it to settle. I think he was worried about an offsides challenge, to be honest. The look on his face when they scored was not of excitement, but of relief. It was pretty intense.
I really appreciate the way NESN handled Jack's season, and his bravery in showing up everyday despite the apparent challenges that he was dealing with. I did not always love Jack's shtick, but there was no doubt that he loved his job and put in a big effort every game. Curious who will replace him next year.Great find. It's absolutely the same play. Lindholm said that was a set play and you can see how they've been working on it. Pasta even went to the backhander both times.
Also, Jack was still on his top game for that clip. It's a shame that he's lost so much over the years.
The Bruins were 4-0 vs Florida this season, and have the hottest goalie in the playoffs. They may win, they may lose, but I’m really glad I don’t think like you do.Next round is total gravy IMO. Florida is better so the Bruins are underdogs. I'd love to get revenge for last year but Florida is playing excellent hockey.
Ontario seems to be on a different track. I just got back from a long walk, and saw not one Leafs jersey, t-shirt, hat or flag in 2.5 hrs.Readily boarding the "everything is gravy now" train.
