I actually called the other EuroLeague game that went to overtime on Thursday. Partizan Belgrade games, with 20,000 screaming and singing and chanting fans, really are unlike any basketball you've probably ever seen before...and there was a pretty cool ending as well:

God it's just SO much more watchable than an NBA game, from an officiating perspective. Bothers me every time I watch FIBA play.
- Light contact is let go routinely as long as it's before the shot. They'll call it tight on the actual shot itself, but not a slight bump on a drive.
- This also means hard contests / close-outs don't result in a foul unless you hit the shooter's arm during the shot, so a lot of aggressive stuff happening, and somehow nobody is pulling a James Harden and sticking a foot out, nor flopping to the ground giving an exasperated shrug to the heavens
- The one-handed rim hang after the dunk at 2'56", screaming into the crowd. That is a T 100% of the time in the NBA, and here, nothing - which is way more fun. If I'd just done that, I'd be pretty pumped up too.
Maine Red Claws legend PJ Dozier getting some love out there, too.
