Don't trade for Righetti -- trade for Pac Bell!
Nobody's untouchable, except maybe Papi. But I wouldn't trade Fenway for Mike Trout and Clayton Kershaw.

You may not agree with his point of view, but I gotta say Harold Reynolds is really good.  His enthusiasm for the game is infectious.
I disagree. He never points out anything I can't see on the screen myself. And, he's wrong a lot. Tonight: "you can run on Peavy." Stats say the opposite. He's horrible, worst ever for me and I go back to Gowdy, Mel Allen...

I actually think Reynolds is good on the nightly MLBTV show -- doing stuff like showing how to do the turn on a double play or get in cut off position. He has some substance to him, and is good on doing highlights, but I just don't like him as a number 2 in the booth.

Does this hold true for anyone else here?

Q: What were you hoping for most to happen in Game 1?

A: For James Shields to suck.

Q: Which player are you pulling for the most in Game 2?

A: Jake Peavy.

Q: So you must want the Giants to win the series?

A: Hell no. Go Royals.

In real time, there was no hope in sending Cain.  But he scores with no throw. Wow.  Speedy speed.

Here's why Harold Reynolds and I will never get along. He termed the Giants bunting early in game 1 as "going for the throat".

And a lousy pickup and throw by Ishikawa.

Hunter Strickland, formerly of the Sox organization, has given up 5 bombs in 5.1 IP this postseason. You can't bring him out there Bochy.

Every time this girl in the Applebee's commercial says "I'm old enough to know what love is", I want the parents to come back with a gospel-chorus "I want you to show me"

The post was for Ventura in the Top of the 6th.

I realized it as soon as I hit "post," but you caught it before I my edit got in, apparently.

My point stands -- 5 IP, 4 ER is about what you can expect from Peavy.  He is not good.

Oh, and Strickland's an embarrassment.

Did Strictland call Perez "boy?" Ummmm.

Well, I'm not sure we should damn him with lip-reading, but Perez isn't black. Is boy banned all around?

Well, Harold, Strickland was staring at Perez when yelling---why do you think he was yelling at himself?

Touche?
Bumgarner can slow any team down. The risk is that there's a spillover effect that makes the next day's starting pitcher look even better. Royals came THIS CLOSE to that happening, they made Peavy look pretty good out there. But this inning may change the entire complexion of the series. Middle of the Giants bullpen is just no match for Royals.
