I'm in the camp that this Jags team is on the rise. Solid D front that can get after the QB, rising talent on the offensive side of the ball in Robinson, Yeldon, Hurns, and even Bortles. I'm glad that Thomas won't be active this week. I think the Patriots are certainly the better and deeper team, but they better show up early and not mess around. I would be nervous about Yeldon having his breakout game this weekend.

agree, except about Bortles -- great arm, but seems inaccurate and throws too hard.

I think this is right. I noticed it more this past weekend when watching some of the Jags/Phins game.  Some of it is mitigated with Lee, Hurns and Robinson but he does throw like Kaep does.  Kaep does look like he has changed some and takes some zip off of his passes.

Well, there's never a good time for these things, but if he's going to miss a game, this isn't the worst week (although I do agree the Jags could be frisky) and with a bye next week--that's some time to heal.

Here
Not to mention BB has basically been running 2 LB out there and Mayo's not the worst backup.

Absolutely. Mayo should be well rested and itching to contribute. With the bye week coming up, I say rest him up if there is even a slight chance of a recurring/serious shoulder problem.

Lee was just downgraded to questionable.(unexpectedly). Not that the Pats would have Likely been challenged anyway, but the Jags injuries are staggering.  It is rather frustrating to finally have some young talent and to potentially compete in the division ( yes, because it appears to be so bad) only to have so many injuries so early to  some of their best players.

I don't really care what the score is tomorrow....if no one gets hurt, it will feel like a win for the Jags. Next weeks game against Indy is the first "important  game" (not counting games affecting draft pick position ) this team has played in years. At this point, I almost hope they start Henne.

Even though he didn't give up a sack, backup left tackle Sam Young was mostly a disaster against Miami. Bortles bailed him out by getting rid of the ball quickly. Luke Joeckel may not be ready to go but it appears he at least made the trip. Could be another big day for Chandler Jones.

I am 100% pulling for the Jags in the rest of their 13 contests this year. I think Gus Bradley is a good dude and a good coach, even though I've had occasion to question his game management ability. I also think they are a young team with quality players. For the health of my heart, though, I'm hoping this one is over quickly.
