Hojbjerg starting for the suspended Bissouma. Everything else pretty chalk for Spurs against Fulham; looks like Richy will start on the win and Son will play CF. Good news is GLC, Brennan Johnson and Bryan Gil are all on the bench today, so they are all fit at least to play some minutes.

Is that Richard Gough?
Yeah man. He was walking along Pittenweem Highstreet. I muttered Mon The Gers under my breath and he turned around and chatted to us for a five minutes. Proper humble gent.

I asked him about the 1984 European Cup semifinal second leg AS Roma v Dundee Utd. The word was always that there was corruption from the officials. But he said nae to corruption 'we got fuckin battered'. He got a load of medals at Rangers and played for Spurs and Everton...San Jose too i think.

I only recognized him because he has that strong Scandinavian jaw.

Spurs have been all over Fulham, some slopiness in the final third had been keeping them off the score sheet. Fulham will be happy to only be down 1-0 if they can make it to the half.

The game has been stretched a bit, Spurs have largely dominated by Fulham feel like they can easily make some noise in the game if they just string a few passes together and attack the high-line. Spurs need another goal to feel truly comfortable.

Maddison slots one in, after Richarlison puts it in row Z.

EDIT: Royal on for Udogie.

It's truly amazing how much more aggressive and exciting Spurs are this season under Ange after going through Mourinho/Conte. It's a pretty good example of the game evolving and certain coaching philosophies becoming outdated very quickly.

That’s interesting that he said there was no bribes. I seem to remember that the UK papers were littered with the same stories that the ref was bribed £50k a good few years ago, even a relatively high up Roma official admitted as such. Jim MacLean went to his grave believing that. I mean it’s true they were played off the park on the day but there was also a firm belief at the time the ref was a homer but nobody considered the ref had been given a bung.

Just when you thought it was safe … Martin Tyler has returned to broadcasting - he was on the world feed broadcast crew for today’s Spurs/Fulham match. I tuned in with about 20 minutes left and couldn’t believe my ears.

And then Series A follows up with a fine for Roma for their ball boys not getting the ball back in play quickly enough:
https://www.espn.com/soccer/story/_/id/38739860/jose-mourinhos-roma-fined-serie-slow-ball-boy-tactics

Article goes into some background with Mourinho and ball boys, which is just pure Mourinho:
During his time at Tottenham Hotspur, Mourinho praised a club ball boy for quickly hurling the ball for Sèrge Aurier to take a quick throw that sparked an equaliser in a 4-2 Champions League win over Olympiakos.

"I love intelligent ball boys, like I was," Mourinho said at the time. "I was a brilliant ball boy as a kid. This kid today was brilliant. He reads the game, understands the game and made an important assist."

However, the former Manchester Unitedmanager criticised the ball boys at Old Trafford for their slow reaction in returning the ball and replaced them with academy payers.

In 2014, while at Chelsea, Mourinho hit out at Newcastle United's ball boys for time-wasting in his team's 2-1 defeat at St. James Park.
