My only disagreement with folks here is that I don’t believe for a second that the officiating is “biased”. The refs don’t have it in for the Pats, or any other team.
They’re just incompetent a LOT.
Call on JC gave Miami a TD instead of a FG, that was early with the game in balance.
Is this the whole test, whether it was outcome determinative? Impossible to definitively establish in most situations, and precluding a more competitive enjoyable game has value, this being an entertainment product and all.
Do you really believe this? I mean, honestly, you truly think this is what happened in this game?
Just a pathetic display by the refs across the board, in every game.
Constantly missing calls, making inconsistent calls, favoring one team over another, just screwing up spots constantly, and always throwing game changing flags on 3rd and 4th down for favored NFL teams like Dallas or the Chiefs.
No Howard back there, relatively healthy line, and just 1 3rd down conversion and 141 yards of passing. Atrocious offense in the contemporary NFL.
Some would argue the officiating is questionable because it is a sport that people wager on.

Absolutely 100%. The officiating today was that bad and one-sided. I would never have guessed it could be this obvious.
The lack of a call on the helmet to helmet on Parker sealed it for me. Nothing could have been more clear.

Pats lost because Dolphins are good and the Pats suck. The refs made some shitty calls but that's not why the Dolphins won.
Officials in every major pro league do not make enough money to NOT be influenced by organized crime, IMO
No, I am saying that the refs very obviously and clearly favored Miami in every possible way today, and it was blatant and obvious.
In a fairly officiated game NE probably doesn't win, but I would have liked to see them get a shot at it. They didn't get that.

No doubt about that. Dolphins just outplayed them and have the better QB. I meant more that the reffing appeared completely incompetent today rather than just a little incompetent. I do not think it impacted which team won the game.
Do you think the refs PURPOSEFULLY favored the Phins, or do you think their incompetence led to the Phins being favored? That’s the key issue.
Patriots now have the worst point differential in the league. Even the broncos, who lost a game by 50, are better.
I think they favored Miami. That was very very clear.
I think they might have had it in the backs of their minds initially due to the inbalace of flags in the PHI-Mia game and made sure that wasnt gonna happen to Miami today.
Lol. You obviously didn't watch the playoffs last year or any Chiefs game this year, particularly the Jets but every game, basically.
So you’re saying that before the game the officiating crew got together and decided to make calls that would intentionally favor the Dolphins. And all game they sought out opportunities to make calls that would disadvantage the Pats.
I think Miami got the benefit of a few calls, but they were also rawdogged last week by the officials in an almost unheard of fashion in prime time in front of the entire nation.
I think the JC Jackson call was ticky tack, and the illegal man downfield could have gone either way. Surprising that they picked it up, but not egregious.
The rest seemed fine.
I watch every playoff game and I watch the NFL all Sunday every Sunday.
Look, for almost 20 years every fan base in the league said the refs favor the Pats. And then in every game thread here for almost 20 years people here believed the refs were completely biased against the Pats.
The Jets winning today would be a perfect exclamation point to the piece of shit the Pats, Mac, O’Brien and the Zebra laid today.
Right. It's an absurd accusation. NFL refs are terrible. But accusing them of purposely favoring one team over another is nuts.
Right, absolutely. They got fucked hard last week. WHICH IS WHY THEY MADE SURE MIAMI GOT THE BENEFIT OF THE CALLS TODAY.

You should call the Boston FBI office then. What you’re suggesting happened is literally a crime.
So an entirely different crew got together and said "Because of the mistakes of our colleagues, we're going to screw over another team and make things right." Or does this go all the way up to the league office? Will the Patriots get all the calls next week to make up for this game? Is this the manner in which all games are reffed, making up for the previous week's mistakes?
This is one of those moments where you should never think something's a conspiracy when the obvious answer is incompetence.
I think maybe refs just favor the favorites/home teams. I would like to know what happened with that multiple motion play.
