I doubt it. It was given to him by default in the first placeBigSoxFan said:Does Montee Ball get his job back?

Nope, that's an aircast, so something broke.

Tonight's performance—especially against the run—would have been unthinkable even 12 or 18 months ago...

I don't think this has anything to do with the Harbaugh tension. When you are starting six backups on defense away to Denver on a short week after a road Monday night game, there's always a decent chance you'll get crushed. Nearly the same thing happened in 2012 -- they played a brutally tough SNF road game in New England that they won 41-34 (the defense was on the field for something like 95 plays in that game), and then they had to play on the road at Seattle the next week. They got waxed 42-13. That 2012 team ended up five yards short of a championship.

I don't know about the tension either, but that team, particularly the D, is incredibly undisciplined. I think that can only be attributed to coaching, given the consistency of the issue.

Coaches who have been to multiple SBs with the same team are seldom fired, and as you note, the Steelers have placed a higher value on continuity than most teams. Absent some indication he has lost the locker room, Tomlin will be back.cshea said:The Steelers don't aren't known for firing coaches, but any chance Tomlin is on the hot seat this year?
