One thing you have to keep in mind about the Eagles--they're breaking in two coordinators this season. And from the successes of their new teams, it's now very clear the two guys who left to be head coaches were really, really good at their jobs. But that O-Line is lethal. They just grind down teams. They get the ball, and the next thing you know they've put points on the board and more than half the quarter is gone. The Niners might look better right now, but until they meet or one of them loses, they have to be considered on the same level.
This was probably their most impressive win of the year. The defense did a tremendous job in the 2nd half of getting the Rams off the field quickly. As you mentioned, they are at their best when they go into grind-it-out mode with the lead.

I am so looking forward to Simmons asking Sal, "Are we sure the Cowboys are any good?" Because they beat three terrible teams (Giants, Jets, Pats), lost to a somewhat solid Cardinals team, and got their asses kicked by the only truly good team they played. Not much of a resume.

Maybe they’re the good bad team

Jets may or may not win again this year but the vibes are good right now:

Saturday, quarterback Zach Wilson spoke in a meeting at the team hotel in Colorado, the team source said. Wilson’s message: Win this one for Hackett.

Before the game on Sunday, tight end C.J. Uzomah gave a pep talk to the offense. He told them: “They made it personal, their coach made this s— personal. Well, f— him and f— them, this ain’t about them, it’s about us getting back on the right track.”

“He’s a Jet,” said linebacker Quincy Williams, who might’ve saved a 10-point win from turning into a close loss with a late-game strip sack. “He’s one of us. The biggest thing is, if you got a comment about him, you got a comment about all of us. So at the end of the game, getting this win for him was very huge. Put some respect on my dawg’s name.”

Cornerback Sauce Gardner said he could tell it was on Hackett’s mind all week.

“It was something that was personal to him. Even if he’s not telling us: Yeah, this is personal to me,” Gardner said. “You can just look at how he carried himself the week of the game, how he’s got that look on his face that he really wanted this game. It meant a lot to get that win for him.”

The Cardinals aren't a solid team, to be fair. They lost to the Giants, who have the worst point differential in the league. Worse than the Pats, in fact.

Point being, Dallas is 3-2 and they are absolutely terrible right now, considering their schedule. The Giants and the Pats (with Carolina) are the worst two teams in the league. The Jets aren't that far away. Dallas lost to Arizona and got laughed off the field against SF. Same ole Dak.

The Jets GM is far from perfect but 2022 draft looks very good. I think all these guys played yesterday

Arizona has a competent offense. I think Josh Dobbs has done ok, all things considered.

Their defense is a bottom-3 unit.

Dobbs has been incredible. Beyond what anyone would have expected. But the Cards are still a piss poor team and they put it to Dallas. And then Dallas finally played a team that wasn't comically bad (Giants and Pats are the worst two teams in the league) and they got run off the field.

It is glorious.

Hard to argue with the Giants being one of the worst. They've played a single good half of football through five games.

I think Dobbs deserves massive credit for coming to a terrible team, with no time to prepare, and being competitive. I’ve been extremely impressed with him
