What? That was a terrific play and got the Colts 3 points. (Whether they should’ve gone for 4th and short instead of kicking is a separate question.)
I think it is. First half, field position and distance say kick and make it a one score game.

Does the Ref normally announce a player reporting as eligible over the loudspeaker and it just so happens that normally the broadcast reduces that audio?
Right. That's my point. People watching monitors could fix clear screwups in real time and it would actually speed up play.

People get confused by the black line ESPN puts on the field. It's not official, and the line of scrimmage is a "line," not something as wide as the black line
