So we don't mind if Jacksonville wins right now, to stay out of the #4 spot. We mind only very slightly if they leapfrog PIT for the 2nd bye. We start to mind a bit more if we lose to the Jets, but really, that's on us.
A Jacksonville loss guarantees the Pats a bye. To my mind that is way more important than positioning for our specific opponents in the playoffs.

Blake Bortles is the reason the Jags will lose round 1. He will fail badly under pressure of the playoffs

On SF’s TD by Kittle ball survived the ground (or did Kittle take enough steps to become a runner so he only had to break the plane of the goalline? ). I don’t think the ball moved anyway.

At this point I take the game out of Dak’s hands. It’s very manageable. Run the ball and play defense.

I pretty much guarantee you that's not what's gonna happen.
In fairness, that last one was on Dez, a high maintenance, mouthy, overrated malcontent. Yes the pass was behind him. It also hit him in the hands. And when you are a mouthy malcontent, you need to come up with those.

Fox Sports Radio earlier was talking about how he's now being called "Jimmy GQ" in the Bay Area. One of the hosts said that every eligible woman out there was taking notice ... and the other host added "and half the men"

Doesn't JAX and PIT losing this week clinch the #1 for NE?
Yes, if they both lose (Jax now and Pit tomorrow afternoon), the NE-NYJ game is irrelevant. They'll both be playing for the #2 seed though next week, which would be slightly relevant to us, but more relevant would be Jax possibly slipping to #4 behind KC if they lose and KC wins. the Jags at #4 is the only scenario in which we could face them in the Divisional round.

I'm happy for JG and all, but he's fucking with our draft pick positioning

I have been to every 49ers home game this year (except today) and everyone on the team is playing better. It isn't just Jimmy.
For example the team has more interceptions today than it did all season (at least from a DB perspective).
