Thanks to Louisville, UCF is a BCS team.

This, UCF's game vs SMU, and the last MACTION game tonight have big BCS implications. Last week, the coaches moved UCF to 17, one spot ahead of NIU, but the Harris poll has NIU 15 and UCF 18. The computers have NIU 10 and UCF 16. NIU is 14 in the BCS, it's not completely out of the question that NIU will get to 12, which would give them an automatic bid, but it isn't likely either.  They need to stay ahead of UCF to get into the BCS. If NIU loses, and/or if UCF moves ahead, that opens up a BCS spot for the likes of Baylor, Clemson, Mich. St (if they lose), and the Stanford/ASU loser.

Bowling Green isn't bad (9-3), Phil Steele picked them to win. I think he picked Ball St to beat NIU too

Northern Illinois is almost 1000 points higher than UCF. No way UCF passes them if NIU takes care of business tonight. Now if they both lose, it would open the door for Fresno.

Sparty is a lock to play in the Rose win or lose.

Hadn't seen NIU this year but had heard the Lynch hype. I know BGSU has a good D but he looks pretty hesitant on his throws. Not as impressive as I was expecting

This is good news for the Big 12. If Oklahoma wins this week, they'll probably get into the BCS now.

SEC (Alabama)
Big Ten (Michigan State/Ohio State loser)
Pac 12 (Oregon)
Big 12 (Oklahoma or Baylor)

The MACTION GIF never gets old.

I have no idea what to expect this afternoon in Atlanta, but hopefully Auburn can pull it out with my wife and I in the stands.  Go Sparty.

Ass, meet couch. You guys are going to spend some quality time together over the next nine hours.

You may want to up that unless you're going to stop watching the night games at half time  :)

Time is passing way too slow today. I have no idea what I'm going to do to pass the next 6 1/2 hours. Except watch football of course.

Dude it's really cold out here. I bought tickets to this game back in October and I'm not there. Screw that.

I realize that makes me sound like a gigantic weeny but I hate the cold.

The highways are fine here. The roads though are a mess.

SMU was on their 3rd string walk on QB today as Bircham died when his head exploded as he hit the frozen ground.

Really great job by the refs to pick up that sideline flag that would have negated a huge 56 yard play on the Oklahoma-Bowl. I wish NFL officials used such discretion.

The Land of Fist Pumps
Pokes in game tying FG range with 3 1/2 to go.

OSU goes ahead 24-20 with a 1 yard rushing TD with 1:46 remaining. Looking like another Big 12 title and Fiesta Bowl for Gundy.

OSU should have called TO after that INT wasn't called. it was an INT that was fumbled. what are they going to do with 3 TOs

I don't think so, because when he "fell" the first time, he landed completely on top of the receiver, so he wasn't down until he hit the second time, which is when the ball popped out.

yeah it's debatable, But he came down, one foot down with full possession, ball wasn't moving, while he landed on the receiver, and then his arm hit the ground and the ball popped out.

but you have to call TO to see the review. OU was smart with the quick snap

edit- oh if you are saying ground can't cause the fumble, you're absolutely right

Hate the squib kick there.

Both teams did it at the end, and each team started at the 37. If you're going to do that, you might as well just kick it out of bounds.

Well, for what it's worth, Boomer Sooner. A solid end to a so-so season. I believe something warmer should be in our future, like the Alamo Bowl. Not BCS, but better than the Meineke Car Care Bowl.
