Really? That’s the best they could come up with for a state slogan? Not ”Where the wind comes sweeping down the plain”? Or “The circus has been here twice”?

Got no chance against “The Hub of the Universe” or “The Athens of America” or “Sully! You suck!”

4:30 PDT start.

Well that takes all the air out of this one. And with that, there is nothing interesting about these next 2 and a half weeks. Bring on Round 1.

Shai and Jalen both out. Boooooo. Chet vs. KP should still be fun.

Bummer. I was hoping to see 2 full squads tonight. Shai is one of my son's favorite players, and we'll be in the house tonight for our only game of the year.

A question for those that are much more familiar with Boston that I am. With the messy weather tonight, I don't want to go all the way into the TD Garden We're coming from up North down I-93, and my plan is to park in the Wellington garage and take the orange line into North Station. Is that a decent plan to avoid the worst of the traffic?

Sorry to be late to the question — hope you’re finding your way. Boy and I just got here. We’re in a similar position — boy loves Shai (loves Celts more, of course), sad he won’t be suiting up. But we’re both interested in the Chet-Zinger matchup…

Can someone explain why this game isn’t on League Pass? The only thing I can find is this Above The Rim feed on ESPN3. WTF?

Yeah, turned out to work great! We are looking forward to the Chet-Zinger matchup as well. I know Chet has put on some weight, but the guy still looks like a tooth pick in person. I'm impressed he's made it through the whole season.

Nevermind. It’s on ESPN. My Xfinity listing was for the Bucks game but it’s incorrect.

They did better containing dribble penetration towards the end. Pritchard might be the most effective passer on the team, especially when it comes to getting the bigs involved in the offense.

Probably can't rely on OKC missing as many shots as they have, though.

Be useful to win this one and put all the mystery to bed.
And it would be embarassing losing to a team with its 2 best in street clothes.
And this isn't a exactly a physically punishing team.
So why not play a bit.

I think OKC has a total of 6 points in the 7 minutes that Giddey has been on the bench. The difference in their offense when he’s not running it in this game is so noticeable.

agreed—-he’s way better than people want to describe. And with shai out he’s essential for them

Giddey will pass at a plus level, penetrate, and has a good floater game. Would love him as third-fourth option in most teams

The thing with Giddey is you probably want him as the primary ball handler, and those guys kind of need a pullup. Now, Giddey's pullup has been decent on low volume this season, so I guess we'll see.

I think you’re selling him short. He’s going to be an All-Star/borderline All-Star once he gets his own team. Don’t forget how young he still is.
