This is a good example as to how stupid that continuous zone time clock is: There's a faceoff during that zone time, allowing the Bruins to change, which nullifies the clock's purpose, which is to show how teams play poorer the longer they're hemmed in their own zone.

Has a NESN feature ever added anything useful to a hockey broadcast? Besides Jack of course.

Totally separate note, but Jets-Panthers in Sunrise, a massive game for both teams, and it looks like attendance is somewhere around 3,000. The Panthers will make a great AHL franchise in three years.

They have one of those human interest pieces about Ference and a kid with a rare blood disease from Bangor on the Sportsnet feed I'm streaming.  How quickly he turned from one of my least to most favorite Bruins.

Holy shit, I wish PK Subban played for anybody but the Canadiens.  He is so, so good.

Despite his talent, I never lose sight of the fact that he is a total dickhead on the ice.

Also looks like a typical 2nd period for the Bruins so far.

Claude may want to use Bergeron against Stamkos here. Seems the strategy is Chara/Soderberg line agains Stamkos and Bergeron against the Johnson line. It's kinda a pick your poison scenario, but The Stamkos line is having its way.

Tampa trying to match the physical play of the Bruins, but they can't do it cleanly.  Lots of borderline or dirty hits this game.

Which is sad because I usually enjoy watching these teams play each other.

Between here and everywhere.
Tuukka hasn't had a Vezina level season, but he's been nails the last couple of weeks when the Bruins have really needed him, despite getting almost no rest.

I'm sitting up in the balcony across from where the Bruins shoot. Saw that shot straight on. That was an extremely weak goal by Bishop. I'll take it tho
