Does Dave Ziegler thinks this helps him? He liked the right QB (maybe), couldn't persuade other decision-makers and now leaks stuff to make himself look better? Sounds like a sweet guy to work with.
He could have thanked Josh for his input and drafted the QB.

Right? I'm flabbergasted people are buying this bullshit. It's as transparent as it is shameless. So either you were a figure head with no control or you let Josh walk all over you, wow, just the kind of guy I want leading my franchise. "Well, I wanted to do all the right stuff!". Scumbag.

Also hilarious just how everyone loved CJ Stroud and desperately wanted him now. We're just a few notches below Bill Polian's "I had a first round grade on Tom Brady".

And even if was true, and I don’t think it is, I’d think even less of him for failing at a core part of his job, namely effectively collaborating with the head coach he was joined at the hip with, and, as necessary, persuading that head coach that Stroud was the guy. You lead the talent evaluation and personnel department, numbnuts. Imagine needing a QB and sticking at the 7th pick to take a DL because you can’t agree on the QB to take?

There’s no version of events here that makes him look good.

What a terrible article that is about ziegler and McDaniels. For someone who is supposed to be a friend of McDaniels, it is clear that ziegler was the main source for the story, the reporter didn't really do due diligence and talk to mcDaniels are his people at all. It just seem like a total hit piece.

McDaniels is not exactly Chuck Noll but the piling on after his firing has been pretty gross, honestly.

Guessing some of it is because he is tied to BB.
He also seems like a bit of a prick when in a position of high authority, to be honest. But Ziegler knew him very well and was happy to take the job, so this backstabbing from him is BS.

What I won't forgive McD for: wearing his visor too low and making his ears stick out. Bush league! Just wait til those stories come out.
