Let's pop the game thread cherry. Good excuse to start one for the first time with the Bruins visiting my home state. I smell eggnog, whiskey, and a 20-30 game points streak.

Edit 1: Or this thread can just go ahead and get deleted since I forgot the last game went to a shootout. SON OF A BITCH. Sorry, RedRightAnkle.

Edit 2: And we're back! May this winning streak be as smooth and easy as this thread.

Krejci made the trip so it's possible he plays tonight or tomorrow. Lavi's got the Preds humming right along, this will be a tough test.

If Krejci is back, I would like to see Campbell scratched. Chances of Julien doing this are slim and none, but I think our optimal lineup, given the current roster, would be:

Lucic - Krejci - Griffith
Marchand - Bergeron - Smith
Fraser - Soderberg - Eriksson
Paille - Kelly - Cunningham

Chara - Hamilton
Bartkowski - Seidenberg
Krug - Trotman

Even if the rule wasn't what it is re: game thread starts, I'd probably still tell you to go ahead.  1) I suck at game threads.  The Bs have literally never won a game I've started the thread for and 2) fuck the rules, we need to get some shit started up in here.

I would like to see Campbell loaded into a rocket and shot into the sun, but it seems that no matter how many times I express it here or send postcards with that sentiment to the entire Bruins' front office, it's never going to happen.

Edwards released the lines based on the morning skate:
Marchand-Bergeron-Smith
Lucic-Kelly-Cunningham
Fraser-Soderberg-Eriksson
Paille-Campbell-Griffith

Chara-Hamilton
Morrow-Seidenberg
Krug-Miller

Rask was first off the ice

I'm as big a Kelly fan as you'll find...but you don't see many blocked shots on a 2 on 1. Le sigh.

Edit: On replay that's a hell of a play by Volchenkov too. Still, gotta get that off quicker.

Hey, at least it was a shot on an odd man rush. Baby steps...

Did Fisher not interfere with Rask on that? Seems like the "tip" was Fisher checking Tukka's glove hand while Rask is in the blue paint. Interesting.

This team is in such a funk. If they don't get going soon, they could be in big big trouble.
Lucic's hook, Chara's slash the other night—the PK has faltered in critical moments of late. I still think Fisher denied Tukka the ability to make a play on the puck but I seem to be alone in that. Rinne was really good and Rask fumbled the Roy move. Game. This is how bad streaks continue.

That's McCarver-esque insight. I actually thought they were considerably better tonight against a tough team. Might end up as nothing but maybe it's a start.

they didn't play poorly tonight, but they have to start winning hockey games. They're losing too much ground.

They still can't score. They have lost 8 of 10. They're currently outside of the playoffs. I could give a shit about moral victories. They need goals and wins and right now they're getting neither.

Being "better" means nothing if they can't get 2 points. They're in considerable trouble.

From my memory, it seemed he bumped into Tuukka after the puck hit Tuukka and got redeflected by Fisher.  The only issue I had was whether or not that hit Fisher's hand or something to that effect.  He was outside of the crease and everything looked legal.  Sadly, this was also the only five minutes I got to watch of the game.
