Here
How is it even possible to tip that puck and have it go over the net like that? Wow.

What has he ever been besides that?  He is a big, hustle guy, never had the physical skill to be anything more.
That would be like complaining Shawn Thornton isn't a goal scorer.  Some guys just have limitations beyond their control, not for lack of effort.
He could use his size. He doesn't have it in him to do so. There was a time, early on with the Bolts, when he had a brief goal-scoring run and people, including me, started thinking he was about to emerge. Nay.

In Chicago, there were reports of reports burying the Hawks after game 3. (I didn't see any such reports myself). Those who argued against that strawman are now suggesting the Hawks improve as a series goes on. I'd love to believe that, too, but it's a stretch. If Q believed that, he wouldn't keep the line blender on, would he?

I'm encouraged that they've limited TBs offense, and I am looking for an onslaught of goals in Tampa. If the Rangers could do it. . .

Of course, if Tampa could get to Henrik. . .

Yeah it's basically an even series in terms of talent only Chicago has to do a lot of shuffling because, first, Q doesn't mind it and, second, their 5/6 D are men's league level. So you need to find the best combo that won't overextend your top guys while minimizing the shit that is your bottom pairing. Tampa is a lot more committed to having a nasty top six and a shit, er, role player, bottom six so the line charades aren't as prevalent.

I'd argue the Callahan, Paquette, Brown line has been equally as good as the top six this series. They have done a great job on Toews when matched up and have chipped in very timely goals.
I think part of chi line changes is due in large part to the tb third line, the other three lines are average at best defensively and that is being generous.

Tampa needs to win tonight to ensure this is a 7 game series.  It's highly unlikely that Chicago will lose their final home game of the year--whether it's to clinch or avoid elimination.  Hell, I think it's unlikely that they'd lose a Game 7 either, but then again, I haven't thought that anyone would beat the Blackhawks since the playoffs started.

But playoff hockey is awesome, and Game 7's are fun, so take care of business tonight, Lightning.

Should TB fans be worried that the Lightning can't win faceoffs? Makes it hard to keep puck possession.

Dang, but Crawford looks good/fortunate tonight. Good rebound control, no TB bodies in front of him...
