Tim is definitely the tech guy who helped me move the forums off of ezboard around 2003 or 2004(?) and after that remained the tech guy and eventually the owner in the late 2000's after the dotcom crash had me tapping out. Tim is the best thing that ever happened to this community, though, and he's a good friend. However, Sam was, in fact, my business partner after the site got big in 2003; we hosted a World Series trophy party at the Commonwealth after the Sox won the 2004 World Series and did a few other events after that...
To say SoSH is "100% Tim's baby" is false, though. He came on board after we got hit with a massive influx of new members when Bill Simmons shared the SoSH link on his Boston Sports Guy page on Digital City in the early 2000's. Tim volunteered his technical savvy and I sure didn't turn it down! He's a terrific guy and the lifeblood of the site and the only guy I trusted to hand the keys over to because he was both involved and really good at internet stuff... but the collective father is the OG posters like MikeF, FoxinSox, PaulM, Maalox, StillCursingBucky, TonyC, PhillySoxFan, LesM, Purist, myself(Lanternjaw), Diehard3, and several others (apologize for forgetting off the top of my head). Sam came into the fold sometime in 2003 when SoSH was getting a ton of press.
This is my way of saying "I love you, Nip!" and that Tim is certainly SoSH's daddy now... and I thank him tremendously for maintaining the standards we've always held.
