36 isn't bad when you consider that we took 30 non celtics years off

I came to this thread wondering if someone had commented on this, but it seems like no one took it the way I did. I'm not sure the guy who threw a pick-6 on a play where the defense tricked him* should be bragging about how he can no longer be surprised by a defense (and that's not to mention the three near-INTs he threw (Bennett's catch, Edelman's catch and the second-to-last play)). I'm not disputing he's the GOAT, etc., etc., but a smidge more humility might be in order. Anyway, every opposing DC worth their salt will have this on the bulletin board next year. It’s fun now, Brady said, because he knows what’s coming. He feels great, and you can’t fool him.
“I have the answers to the test now,” Brady said.
“You can’t surprise me on defense.
I may not be remembering correctly, but I thought he got hit on the Bennett throw (it easily could have been picked), the Edelman throw was into tight coverage but the first Falcon did all he could just to get a hand on it, so if intercepted it would have been a tip drill, and the last throw to Bennett, Vic B makes that interception one in a hundred times, though it was a bad pass.I came to this thread wondering if someone had commented on this, but it seems like no one took it the way I did. * After the game, Randy Moss and Steve Young agreed that the pick-6 was the result of the way the Falcons had switched their coverage, and I'm basing my comment on that.
I definitely didn't take it this way. I read it as more of a "game plan" type response as opposed to looking at every play. There's nothing you can throw at him that he hasn't seen before but there will obviously be times where the defense does a good job disguising it's coverage on a particular play. Brady definitely has bad series or quarters but he doesn't have a bad 48 minutes very often.I came to this thread wondering if someone had commented on this, but it seems like no one took it the way I did. Yeah, the ranking doesn't make much sense to me. If it's about how great the play is without considering the context, then maybe Mitchell's catch is more impressive than the strip sack (that's debatable for sure). But if they're not considering the circumstances of the play, how can the amazing Incredelman catch come behind the White championship touchdown? It may be inconsistent, but it makes me so damn happy that I can ask that question. Holy shit I'll never get over that win.The Mitchell TD vs. SF is bigger than the Hightower strip sack in the SB?
I'm not done with these yet, but that's frickin' ridiculous
Yeah in terms of best plays I think it was a better play - crazy throw by Brady - but given that they put White at the #1 slot, it seems like it is a mix between "best" and "most important" plays. Because obviously the SB winning TD wasn't even a top 100 play on the season in terms of "best" plays. The Mitchell TD vs. SF is bigger than the Hightower strip sack in the SB?

Yup. It's 6:14 AM here in Florida, woke up about an hour ago and couldn't go back to sleep. I'm 8 minutes into this video and it's glorious. Adding it to the SoSH archive!Still addicted to this stuff like a teenage girl on Kpop.
I want a copy of the DVD!Most if not all of these are in the thread. I'm creating a DVD with the best ones for posterity, made this list and thought it might be useful for others to have all in one place.
Yeah, noticed that too. Doesn't even come close to the best thing thrown onto the field this year, though. An awesome 38' Patriots Season Recap:
edit: ...and I only just noticed the thrown beer can at 34:42. Don't know how I missed that after all the replays right there. Must've been Shannon Sharpe.
Man, that was a classic. Second only to the great Fenway pizza-throwing incident of 2007.Yeah, noticed that too. Doesn't even come close to the best thing thrown onto the field this year, though.
Disagree.Man, that was a classic. Second only to the great Fenway pizza-throwing incident of 2007.
Man doesn't waste any time. Or, maybe his paint guy just calls Bill up now every year at this time.
It's been a gorgeous weekend. But he and the boat are in Florida.I thought that boat was on Martha's Vineyard.
...As well as some decent analysis of hidden plays, especially Ghost's:Atlanta still might have been able to muster a drive to at least attempt a game-winning field goal. The Patriots helped out by making a strategic mistake and snapping the ball with 21 seconds to go on the game clock during the White touchdown. It's not necessarily a good idea to run the play clock down to one second left before snapping the ball, but Brady should have shaved another 10-12 seconds off the clock before the snap. The argument that the Patriots needed to conserve time in case of a failed two-point conversion doesn't really hold water; if the Patriots failed, they were going to be stuck attempting an expected onside kick to try to get one final possession. The chances of recovering that onside kick are likely lower than the chances of giving up a meaningful drive to the Falcons with a minute left on the clock.
A good read if you're procrastinating. His other three kickoffs, though, each pinned the Falcons inside of their own 20-yard line. One was returned to the Falcons' 19-yard line, but the two truly great kicks came on Gostkowski's final two kickoffs of the game. The first, with the Patriots down 28-20, was booted to the 3-yard line with enough hang time for the coverage units to pin down Justin Hardy and limit him to a 7-yard return, starting Atlanta on the 10-yard line. Given that the Falcons finished the drive a few desperate yards away from what would have been game-sealing field goal range, Gostkowski's kickoff might have helped save the season. After the Patriots tied the score, Gostkowski delivered a similarly effective kickoff to the goal line, which Eric Weems returned to his own 11-yard line to start a disappointingly short possession.
Oh snap, totally going to download and upload this to my account.Yes.

My guess is that it was more of a slip of the tongue or awkward phrasing than an indication that he really felt apart from the team a la Cyrus Jones. Many people articulate imprecisely on occasion and especially when they're excited. On the players videos above, interesting from LGBT: "I still don't know how they pulled it off"
They, not we? I know he viewed most of the comeback from the sidelines but seemed odd to me
I'm getting a "Failed - Server problem" error when trying to download, but once that's resolved, I'll add it to the SoSH archive as well.Oh snap, totally going to download and upload this to my account.
He was essentially benched. He realized, if only subconsciously, it was a "they" rather than "we."My guess is that it was more of a slip of the tongue or awkward phrasing than an indication that he really felt apart from the team a la Cyrus Jones. Meh. It's a long season. After all those yards and TDs, I doubt he felt like an outsider. He was essentially benched. He realized, if only subconsciously, it was a "they" rather than "we."
