You'll all be pleasantly surprised to learn that I haven't improved my game in the slightest. The spirit of Adrian Beltre is still alive and well.

I'll change those foursomes for the first two times to threesomes around Friday at noon if we can't get 1-2 more by then

Rain looks like it's holding off so far for tomorrow. Should be good.

I'm ready to go and slice one down the 9th fairway off the first tee.
I'm gonna be in the road.

(And that's the 10th fairway you're thinking of).

I believe the last time I played there, I drove it onto someone's lawn across the road. Good angle to the green, unfortunately OB.

I won a new hybrid in a raffle a few weeks ago. We'll see which direction that club takes me.

Speaking of OB, I generally play lateral hazards for all shots (including OB) in the interest of pace of play. Yes it's not the exact rules but none of us are qualifying for the tour here.

Oh God yes. The only way to play it.

Also, I can't wait to bomb drives into your group*. Mwahahaha.

*(And by bomb drives into your group of course I mean shank slices into abutting fairways all day)

Yeah, that's how I play. I'm not searching around for 5 minutes and then heading back to the tee to send another one OB or into the water. Drop and go.

Yeah, if I want to hit another drive I will, but if I know the chances are small I will keep it in play, I will just drop near where the ball entered the woods.

One of the most frustrating things in golf is searching for the ball and not finding it. I just assume it didn't want to play with me anymore, so I let it go.

I'll be stopping at Grafton Liquors on the way. I hope you like Bud Light Lime or Del's Shandy's.

You can bring on any non-alcoholic beverages.  So gatorade, water, soda, etc. is all fine.   If you happen to spike those with vodka or rum or jack ahead of time, that works too.

My bag will certainly be too heavy to carry if we were walking the course, if you know what I mean.

Load up the bag with sodas, get the cart, drive to the car to load the bag on the cart, buy a beer in the bar to go to get the plastic cup, refill at your leisure and the ranger is none the wiser. But still buy a round or two from the cart girl to keep karma on your side. Cup is king.

Yes I've done this before. Once or twice.

And TSC-  your clubs are at my front door. I will have to trip over them in order to leave, so I am pretty certain that I will remember them. However, I have no balls.   For you to play with.   On the golf course.

Ok, let me rephrase

I sadly to not have an excess supply of golf balls for your use.

Cups are the key....  I remember playing in an outing once- may have been a RMPS one, where we got busted because we were drinking from cans/bottles of stuff that wasn't sold on site.

Between here and everywhere.
If anyone is looking for a great place to buy some craft beers on the way - there's a Vin Bin off of 495, 21b. If you're coming that way. It's in the Price Chopper plaza. They have a great selection there.

Really great seeing you all today. Sorry for the quick bailout at the end there. Didn't realize how late it had gotten and didn't realize how early my wife had made plans for us.

Yeah, great seeing everyone again. Always one of my favorite weekends of the summer and this time a much needed 6 or 7 hour group therapy session.

I don't know how you guys do 36 in a day though, I was basically worthless yesterday after 18. I'm old.

Would be up for another one in July once we lick our wounds a little bit if it works out...

I could make it work. What's a good course near NH if we want to do that? Do they have onion rings?

I would recommend either Campbell's Scottish Highlands in Salem, NH, or GreenMeadow Golf Club in Hudson, NH. Green Meadow has two courses, the Jungle and the Prairie. The Jungle is more challenging, and the Prairie more open. The Highlands is a pretty open course that I've played a lot. Both are near the Mass Border. I would also be open to Hickory Hill in Dracut, which is just over the border.

I do not know if either has good onion rings, unfortunately.

Hickory Hill is about 10 minutes from my house.....

HH has a good bar. I haven't had the onion rings, but can vouch for the food being very good. I've played both Green Meadow courses. Nice track but I haven't tested the bar there.

Much like my women I'm more a fan of "more open" than I am "more challenging" but I'm okay with whatever.

Hickory Hill appears to have a par 6 (from the reds) which is cool I guess? Strangely there's a longer hole on the back 9 that's only a par 5. Weird.
