I just realized that tomorrow morning will probably be the first Jon Gruden "This Guy" Challenge of the season. Another reason to love the start of the NFL.
They do that pretty regularly. Last week or the week before when Fred was out for a day he was suddenly back on the air and its because they were replaying some bit from the day before.SidelineCameras said:This AM they came back from a commercial and replayed an entire segment from yesterday, Adolfo interviewing fans in the Gillette parking lot waiting for the Brazil-Portugal friendly. Then they came back from that break and it was McAdam talking about Carp's grand slam last night, so they were obviously live again.
I didn't hear them say "we're replaying this" or anything, they just went right into it. It was on Wednesday in the 8 o'clock hour and today right at 7, I appreciate trying to hit a different part of the audience at a different time, but I was a little surprised they played it off as new material (or at least didn't suggest that it wasn't new). Not complaining about this, but is anyone familiar with this as a practice? Have they done this before?

Shades of Guay this morning was really good. The going from "host to a beat reporter" line almost made me drive off the road.
The Gresh one with solo post game beat reporter was awesome too.Hendu for Kutch said:
The "I've nailed more threes than Ray Allen" line had me rolling.

@Toucherandrich: Wow, I don't think I've ever been ripped off more than this. Here's mine. http://t.co/PAdS2bK6JC Here’s theirs. http://t.co/XGLYsoAIa2

Looks like EEI may have already taken down the link. I'm getting a "Stream Not Found" error message.

From 6-7 p.m., 98.5's "The Baseball Reporters" hosted by Tony Massarotti finished with a 9.0. WEEI programming in the same period -- usually a lead-in to the Red Sox broadcast -- earned a 5.5, good for seventh.
Thats fantastic. The audio link is here:steveluck7 said:Did Fred really just do that?!!?
They had Rick Pitino on. Fred opens with "You stink. You ruined the Celtics"
end call
Hilarious

Fred responds and buries Portnoy here: https://twitter.com/FredToucher/status/385807020281962496
Also, Fred clearly responded in comment section of the barstool post as "come-at-me-bro".
This back and forth should be interesting.
Who's Jeff Eisenberg, and why should I give a shit what he thinks?PedroSpecialK said:Jeff Eisenberg is not a fan

Credit Toucher and Shertenlieb for generating national publicity for their show, I guess, but to me the segment was both unprofessional and a wasted opportunity.
