I am trying to figure out the best way to record audio off of the MLB app for listening later in the day.
I currently live in Boston. I usually listen to the Red Sox on the MLB app or on the radio when I get home around 7:00.
I am moving to Honolulu. In the summer I will be 6 hours behind EST so a 7:00 PM game will start at 1:00 PM, when I will be at work. So I would like to figure out a way to record the audio at on my home computer, while I am at work, so I can listen to it when I get home.
The best way I can think to do this is:
1 set up the MLB app on my home computer;
2 set up apple remote desktop on my home computer;
3 access my home computer from work via apple remote desktop;
4 launch the red sox game in the MLB app on my home computer;
5 use an audio recording app to record the stream from the internal microphone;
6 remember to stop the recording when I get home (assuming I know the game is over?); and
7 listen to the recorded stream when I get home.
Problems I foresee: There are some days I might forget to do this. I might start late and not record the first few innings. Maybe the feed craps out in the middle and I don't get the whole game. Some days I will surely forget to stop recording and inadvertently fill my hard drive.
It seems like there should be a way to automate all of this to preclude likely human error.
Is there a better way to do this?
