Wow that was a great read CP/Doug.
One question -- what is making Luck throw so many INTs? Is it poor read? Overconfidence in his ability to "zip it" in tight windows? Him and his receivers not in sync at times?
Does his INT rate have anything to do with him avoiding pressure yet still throwing under less-than-ideal conditions?
I don't have access to video, so I can't answer that definitively. But I can tell you that two interceptions cited in the article (vs. Steelers and Eagles) were short passes, 5 yards to the left or right. One against the Ravens was tipped and caught behind the line of scrimmage. The others were 10 yards or longer.
It could also be because he throws the ball so much. His interception percentage is 2.3, 14th-lowest among NFL quarterbacks, just behind Ryan Tannehill, Tony Romo, and Joe Flacco, and just ahead of Matthew Stafford and Matt Ryan. Hope this helps.
