That's undoubtedly where I'd put them right now for sure.

It's a travesty that CAR-GB is in the early Sunday schedule slot. Here are the intra-NFC matchups in the later slots: 4 PM: NYG-TB, ATL-SF; 8 PM PHI-DAL. Every one of the later games is hardly compelling and has a decent chance of being a blowout. I know NBC wants PHI-DAL because NFC EAST!!! but come on, Dallas is lost until Romo gets back.tims4wins said:This doesn't exactly pertain to the discussion, but Carolina-GB could be a pivotal game for the 1 seed in the NFC. If Carolina wins it is hard to see them NOT earning HFA, as they would have a two game lead over GB with a H2H win. GB really needs this one but their offense was dogshit vs. Denver. It's not like Carolina's D is chopped liver. Should be fascinating.

It's not chopped liver, but if Luck wore them the eff out in the 4th quarter, what is Aaron going to do in a must-win game after a bad game?tims4wins said:This doesn't exactly pertain to the discussion, but Carolina-GB could be a pivotal game for the 1 seed in the NFC. As long as their defense can hold up for 60 minutes I like Carolinas chances. If they have a 4Q meltdown like they did against Indy, I'd have to think Rogers would taken advantage even better than Luck did.tims4wins said:This doesn't exactly pertain to the discussion, but Carolina-GB could be a pivotal game for the 1 seed in the NFC. I know we discuss the flex options networks hold every year, but the rules have changed and I don't remember.Kevin Youkulele said:It's a travesty that CAR-GB is in the early Sunday schedule slot. That said, I can understand why NBC wouldn't want to trade a game pitting the 4th (Philly) and 5th (Dallas) largest TV markets in the nation for a game pitting the 22nd (Charlotte) and 35th (Milwaukee, if that's the Packers market). In 2006 the NFL implemented a primetime "flexible scheduling" element on Sundays in Weeks 10-15 and in Week 17. In 2014 that was extended so that games between Weeks 5 and 17 could be affected by flex scheduling. However, only two games may be flexed into Sunday Night between Week 5 and 10.
I grant that Carolina's not a super popular team but GB seems to have a national following. But, NBC probably has a much better sense than me about which game would draw more eyeballs, since it's integral to their profit margin.dynomite said:I know we discuss the flex options networks hold every year, but the rules have changed and I don't remember.
Here's the latest I found:
