Some guy named Doug Kyed from NESN reported that Pats had interest: http://nesn.com/2013/12/report-patriots-work-out-cfl-all-star-henoc-muamba-boston-college-product-alex-albright/He set a new career high (in 2013) with 106 tackles (2nd most in the league), while also adding 1 quarterback sack, 1 interception, 1 fumble recovery and 1 defensive touchdown
The Patriots did their due diligence by working out two linebackers. Linebackers Alex Albright and Henoc Muamba were brought in by New England for workouts recently, according to Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post. Albright spent two years with the Cowboys after going undrafted out of Boston College. He played defensive end in college but was moved to linebacker in the NFL.
Muamba was the CFL’s No. 1 overall pick in 2011. Muamba was born in Zaire and attended St. Francis Xavier University in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, Canada. He was named a CFL All-Star in 2013 and won the Lew Hayman Trophy, given to the best Canadian player in the East Division. Muamba had 106 tackles, one sack and one interception for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in 2013. In 2012, the 6-foot, 230-pound linebacker had three sacks and 65 tackles. Muamba ran a 4.72-second 40-yard dash and 6.72-second 3-cone drill prior to the CFL draft.
