Either Eric Decker is going to sign soon or they really were unimpressed with what they saw on Monday. Or they offered an amount that was insufficient in his view.

When does Dez Bryant become a possibility? My guess is never but with the depth being challenged to this extent, they need some answers.

I’m on the Dez train. Plenty of seats available.

Is it likely he stays close while he heals and gives the Pats a chance to look at other healthy guys in camp until he is?

It sounds like there is a potential WR squeeze in Cincy. Wonder if the Pats would be interested in bringing back LaFell.

Given how fast they cut him I wouldn’t be surprised if this were a surgical injury. The vast majority of hamstring injuries are non-operative but if the tendon is pulled off the bone then it does require surgery to fix which would end his season

I feel like at some point it makes just too much sense. Dez is there. He wants a one year show-me deal. Let him show. If anything else, his circus will take the focus off the other circuses I am so sick of

Wasn’t there a lot of recent chatter about Dez’ inability to separate?
That did end up getting walked back a bit. Though YMMV whether or not that was strictly for PR purposes. One thing's for sure, Dez can't seem to separate from his tendency to act like a complete dumbass. Randy Moss he ain't, so buyer beware.

I'm on the Dez wagon. Doesn't hurt to have a physical WR who can go and get it. He's not going to run past a CB but when do the Patriots require that from WRs?

Dez wouldn’t be the number 1, but if he would be happy with 55 catches for 600 yards and prob 8-10 TDs (gotta figure with Gronkowski drawing doubles he could be a red zone beast) then get it done.

I can’t get the images out of my head of Romo desperately pleading with him to lineup in the right position presnap and then subsequently berating him after the play for running the wrong route. He seemed to improve over the years but I’d bet he’s unlikely to be a quick study of a new playbook. That might be a big deterrent for Bill.

Per Bryant's own complaining words ("Everybody lined up in the same spot for 17 weeks") he hasn't dealt with a complicated offense. My sense is they don't view him having the football mind like a Randy Moss to outweigh the diva concerns.

What always mystifies me, in relation to Matthews, is how these guys train all offseason and end up pulling hamstrings in camp. One would think that would be the number 1 area of work for receivers in the spring.

My hope is that the release of Matthews suggests Berrios/McCaron have looked sufficiently decent in practice that they are comfortable with what seems to many of us is a lack of experienced depth at WR - AND/OR indicates that Britt is close to a return or Malcom Mitchell might be trending more toward okay than I currently think he is.

There is a non-frivolous case that Dez is nuts. He has lost at least a step, maybe more, which Stephen Jones acknowledged, and others too, before they parted ways with him. He is a simmering cauldron on the sideline when he isn’t getting the ball thrown his way.

If that were not enough, there is the latest insanity accusing fellow players of orchestrating his getting cut.

That may be true, but I feel like the public persona of the 2018-19 Patriots is going to be a bubbling cauldron of rage.

Dez might fit right in.

One missing "e" and one added "is" away from a meme.

I'm disappointed. I was very high on this signing and he looked like he could be an animal on the day I saw training camp.

Oh well.
