5 million if all bonuses are reached I believeDarnell's Son said:New threads are good. So it's $2 million with performance bonuses possible? That's nuts.
Laser Show said:I mean seriously for a team that is in the Phillies position there is absolutely no reason to do this. Let alone giving it to a player like Sizemore.

It's $2M for a 4th or 5th outfielder. i fail to see the reason for outrage
Rudy Pemberton said:Yeah, it's very similar to the deal the Sox gave him last year.
Grady Sizemore himself is not the reason for outrage. His deal is a symptom of a much larger problem in Philly: there appears to be no plan. The team needs to start rebuilding and clearing payroll, but the very first thing they do, before the World Series is even over, is hand over $2 million dollars to a 4th or 5th outfielder who just finished his first healthy season in 5 or 6 years? Who had an OPS+ of 96? Don't get me wrong, there are far far worse moves you can make. This doesn't really hurt the Phillies. But I don't see any benefit to spending $2 million on a warm body that probably has no future in the organization. Maybe they see something I don't, or maybe they just want him for his veteran presence or something. But I'm not betting on it.E5 Yaz said:
