You really can't go wrong with a Bergeron jersey, ever.Should I buy a new jersey? I had it in my mind that if they won the cup I was going to buy one with the cup patch on it. But ...
I'm also undecided on who to buy.
I have an 10-ish Lucic and an 11-ish home 3rd Recchi. I'm an old man. I feel slightly weird wearing the jersey of a 20 year old but I can probably get over it. I feel weird buying "legacy" players. So maybe Chara since he's almost as old as I am?
Good talk everyone.
Oil tank was pulled yesterday with no signs of leakage. Looks like we're good to go. Closing in 3 weeks but going to Italy first for 10 days. Fun coincidence to have booked a major trip around the same time as the biggest single expense we'll probably ever have. At least a bunch of the trip had already been paid for months ahead of time. This is fun. Wife was hesitant to pay the extra $250 to bring in a guy to sweep for an oil tank. Sellers said there was no tank on the property, to their knowledge it had been coal heating before gas. Sure enough, inspector shows up and within 20 minutes of inspecting the outside of the house spots a pipe that might be related to oil because he doesn't know what it is. Thankfully we had booked the oil guy and as we're upstairs looking around I glance out the window and see 4 little flags planted in the ground in a rectangle. A fuckin' oil tank sitting a few inches under the grass.
So, yeah, that's where we're at. That aside, for an old house there were no massive surprises, but now we have limited time to make sure we'd be protected from any costs relating to A) tank removal and B) potential leaks into the soil which can cost $25k or a whole fuckton more if it's bad enough.
Yup. And my seats went from having no one in front of us (we were back row balcony) like we did for 10 years to behind people, all to accommodate the new bar and standing room behind us that I’m sure will be a drunken 22 year old shit show like it is in right field at Fenway. We didn’t renew.I read they replaced the black and gold seats with all black ones, did they really add seats to each row, too?
Thanks and right back at ya. Very eager to get in and just start living in the damn thing without having to talk to the bank or a realtor or a lawyer every other day.I'm expected to close on our house 14 October. Inspection and VA appraisal are done, got a new job lined up for after my military retirement, pretty excited about where we will be in a month, but will be nervous until we close.
Good luck with yours, Jed.
Hopefully it’s not work people so you can pound booze.Waiting to meet w people at a bar. Behind the B comes on, cold open on the post game 7 Garden.
Absolutely was not ready for that. Fucks sakes
Yup! Everything went very smoothly for the most part aside from some communication issues with the bank and finalizing the exact cash to close amount. House has only had something like 4 owners over the years so title stuff was apparently very clean. Cooked our first meal in the (empty) house last night for our anniversary. Now to finish packing and move next Thursday. Crazy month.Closed up, @Jed Zeppelin?
+1First advice of home ownership: go buy a fire extinguisher and a plunger.
Why, how much sunsets cost out there?Spent today driving through the Chandelier Tree, and then out to the Glass Beach for sunset. Pretty awesome day.
Just one weekend left in California, then life might become a little bit cheaper.
