NFL linebacker trying out for Red Sox

Brandon Magee, a little-used linebacker and special teamer for the Buccaneers, was cut by Tampa. So the former Arizona State two-sport star is trying out for the Red Sox. Anyone have more information then this story does?

Probably a long shot to do anything. He tore his ACL in spring ball 2011 that kept him pretty limited on the field his senior year.
 

 
His last season was in 2011 when he only played eight games due to a torn UCL which kept him sidelined for the rest of that season and the next. He carried a slash line of .154/.313/.231 in 2011.

I hope he can play his way to a minor league deal. It'd be fun to watch him lay people out in a crazy bench clearing brawl.
