As we are only a day away from the draft, the rumors are starting to spread.

Could we have a draft day trade?

#Broncos called the #Eagles on Sam Bradford. It was very preliminary, no compensation was discussed. PHI still not inclined to move him.

That's surprising. You'd think they'd get rid of the Jamaal Charles at age 29 instead of Knile Davis at age 24, especially given the cap hit (~$8m with only $1.5m in dead money).

There have been rumors of trading Davis for a while now, I think. Something about not being a good system fit

Thinking about this more, it seems the Chiefs think Davis is worth more than Charles on the open market given his age and contract status. They likely figure some team will bite and use him as a primary back and give up a first or second round pick. KC, having tested the market, may now think Charles and his injury and contract baggage is worth more to them moving forward than a lower round pick or two from another team.

This seems sensible if they can get another team to bite on Davis and draft to replace Charles in 3 years.

It's pretty obvious the Chiefs weren't big fans of Davis last year when they ended up going to Charcandrick West and Spencer Ware at RB over Davis.
