Sure, but it being perfectly executed and getting only 0.1 to do something is why I said it was a bad play. call. Granted, the refs jobbed them of about .5 which is big, but my point stands---that's one of the risks you bear with two passes. That was perfectly executed
Well, in his defense Webber also tried to call a timeout to think more about it...The ref literally said Purdue needs to pick 1 of the 4 players on the floor to take the free throws for Tennessee and Webber wants them to pick the biggest scrub on the bench.
Power outage messed with the announcing set up. CBS trying to get their shit together.Um did cbs decide to not have real announcers at this Texas Tech game?
I'm not sure either one of these teams can get to 50.CBS can keep Reggie’s mic turned off to conserve power.
“The first to 50 is going to win this basketball game.”
I don’t mind him at all. He’s approximately 100,000 times better than Mark Jackson.Does anyone like Reggie Miller? Does anyone even think he’s a mediocre announcer?
I seriously can’t think of a worse announcer in sports. And he inexplicably keeps getting huge assignments
I don't mind Reggie, his "I'm lit" comment was pretty funny. Kevin Harlan was terrible I thought, couldn't finish a sentence all game.Does anyone like Reggie Miller? Does anyone even think he’s a mediocre announcer?

If I was the rest of the field, I wouldn't want anything to do with Texas Tech right now. They challenge everything on D.I figured Tech would beat Michigan but didn’t think it’d be an absolute mauling.
i don't think i'm going to survive this oneThis Virginia/Oregon game is fantastic
I have them beating Gonzoga but then losing in the Final Four. Beard is a damn good coach, I wish Texas could fire Smart and grab him this offseason. If I was the rest of the field, I wouldn't want anything to do with Texas Tech right now. They challenge everything on D.
not sure why smart isn't doing well at texas but he sure had the vcu rams program turned around. they were a team that would give anyone fitsI have them beating Gonzoga but then losing in the Final Four. Beard is a damn good coach, I wish Texas could fire Smart and grab him this offseason.
This is the way it's always been.Riddle me this: apparently the Sunday regional final games are on at 2pm and 4:55pm. The Saturday games are on at like 6:10 and 8:50. We bitched a bunch during the first weekend about all of the late games on Sunday and the response was that CBS was maximizing ratings, especially for the west coast. Why would the regional finals be played at 2pm and 5pm instead of say 5 and 8 or even 6 and 9 like Saturday night? I seriously don't get it.
I still don't get it. That's not a reason. They changed the way the first couple rounds were scheduled about 10 years ago. Does 2pm and 5pm really maximize ratings? This is the way it's always been.
They put the AFC/NFC title games at 3 and 6:30. Sunday afternoon is great for ratings.I still don't get it. That's not a reason. They changed the way the first couple rounds were scheduled about 10 years ago. Does 2pm and 5pm really maximize ratings?
And by the way - CBS must be drooling over the possibility of UNC-Kentucky and Michigan-State on Sunday. That's like a final four.
RIght, but last weekend there were a shit ton of late games. Like half the games started at 7pm or later. It just seems very inconsistent. They put the AFC/NFC title games at 3 and 6:30. Sunday afternoon is great for ratings.
Honestly, I think last week's schedule is the bigger question.RIght, but last weekend there were a shit ton of late games. Like half the games started at 7pm or later. It just seems very inconsistent.
CBS must have a clause in the contract they get exclusivity in the afternoon.RIght, but last weekend there were a shit ton of late games. Like half the games started at 7pm or later. It just seems very inconsistent.
I don't think I've ever seen a worse college basketball coach in charge of a P5 program. VCU has been very good no matter the coach, so it's a program that's built to win regardless of who is the head person.not sure why smart isn't doing well at texas but he sure had the vcu rams program turned around. they were a team that would give anyone fits
Yeah that could be it. It's just odd. I'm not complaining though, at least not for this weekend for what could be an epic Sunday slate.CBS must have a clause in the contract they get exclusivity in the afternoon.
that's not the same vcu team it was with smart. don't get me wrong i don't really like the guy because he's arrogant but his rams were one of the toughest.I don't think I've ever seen a worse college basketball coach in charge of a P5 program. It doesn't track, though, because the two games Saturday are on late, and the two games on Sunday are on early. Both days have two games. How many games were there last week? How many are there this week?
Maybe that's why there were more later?
It has to do with TBS having the Saturday games and CBS having the Sunday games. CBS wants the games in the afternoon to lead into 60 Minutes. It doesn't track, though, because the two games Saturday are on late, and the two games on Sunday are on early. Both days have two games.
