Well I didn't see much of the first half, but they missed on foul on a rebound they could have called on Edey in the second half, but yeah they probably could have called another 5-10 that Tenn committed against him. It sure seems they entire approach was to hack him all day and dare the officials to call them all
Edey on the other hand doesn't get aggressive on defense much, and Tenn had absolutely nothing to challenge him and even force him to try
Maybe, you just never know on the calls. Obviously St has to try to attack Edey with Burns and hope they win the foul calls. If both guys spend the whole day in foul trouble that evens the chances. If Edey can play 35+ min, then yeah Purdue should win. He is an all time great college player
You and the other people celebrating this are going to be so disappointed. Edey is going to absolutely work him. There’s a 1% chance that Burns doesn’t foul out
We have a year of data to go off of. Burns is incredibly foul prone…Edey is not. Burns is a fatso and way out of shape…Edey is not.
If we are betting on what happens the overwhelming odds are that Purdue wins and Burns is fouled out
I wasn’t celebrating it. I do think it will be entertaining…even if not terribly competitive.
People have been writing the Wolfpack off for a few weeks now. I'm looking forward to seeing if the magic can continue when they actually play the game.

Am I the only one that hopes Burns gets 40-20-10 v. Purdue, Edey fouls out, but Purdue still wins?

This. I would never, ever write off a team that is playing this hot at the right time in the NCAA's. Cinderella usually loses at some point, but I'm not trying to catch that knife.
They went into the ACC Tournament as the #10 seed, with a 17-14 record (and 9-11 in the conference) and beat in order, Louisville, Syracuse, Duke, Virginia and UNC. Then they roll into the tourney and beat Texas Tech, Oakland, Marquette and Duke.
Purdue is a really, really good team, but they have all of the pressure. They don't want to be the #1 seed that lost in back to back years to a #16 and a #11 seed. And NC State has shown they are plenty capable of getting hot at any moment.
