Morrow was not good but Cross, I'm not sure why he his still in the system.  He is the Jake Bequette of the Bruins.

I feel like Morrow has actually been pretty good.  This sucks.  I do feel good for Cross getting a shot.  He's worked hard through a lot of injuries.  Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of hope that he's any good at all.

Cross was a healthy scratch quite a bit over the last 2 seasons with the baby B's. He seemed destined to be let go at the end of his entry level. He's a good story because he made the most of his chance when all the call ups depleted the roster. He really steadied the D and played his best down the stretch and was named captain of this year's team. Smart player who doesn't make a lot of mistakes. That said if they lean on him for more than 12:00 in a game they're in even bigger trouble.

He was very good in preseason, much better than the departed Irwin, and arguably should have been on the opening night roster.

He played extremely well in the 30 minutes I saw last night. Very physical and simple game. He looked a lot like pre injury Seids

Cross has a team leading 73% CF last night, albeit in sheltered minutes with 75% O Zone starts. SSS and Colorado is a notoriously awful possession team, but it was a nice, solid debut for Cross.

He did have enough talent early on to dictate a 2nd round selection. I hope he does well for obvious reasons. It would be nice to see what appears to be a high character dude get his due and succeed, and also because I am a giant Bruins homer and he's wearing the spoked B.

Morrow returned to practice today. He was out with the flu, so he should be good to go, though I suspect tomorrow night Claude rolls with the same defense that won both games on the road trip.

Cross has been returned to Providence.
After his performance, it feels like we'll see him again later this season.

For once a steady defenseman is what the Bruins need. Too many other spots to fill in for now but if Seidenberg doesn't come back or is cooked, Cross could pair with Morrow or Miller on that third pair later I the year.
