That’s Kane.
That’s Kane.
That’s his prerogative.Another front office hire. Bobby Brown comes back from the Texans.

Could we hire Glenn Cook away from Cleveland? He crosses a lot of these streams, having played at UM and worked with the Packers before his current role in Cleveland.Patriots are adding Alonzo Highsmith to the front office. Worked in Green Bay, Cleveland and Seattle and has recently been with the University of Miami football team in a GM role.

Wasn’t there talk that James White was putting forward his interest in coaching? So we're missing the skill position guys: WR, RB, TE
I wouldn't expect him to say "Yes I would have", not sure how his current employers would have felt about that.So.... for important context....
2. He was asked if he would have gone back to NE if they had offerred more.... he dodged it.
Meh.I wouldn't expect him to say "Yes I would have", not sure how his current employers would have felt about that.
He was Mac's security blanket, so let's let him walk.
Didn't want you that this was missed. Well done. That’s his prerogative.
yeah, he's probably 4th on the list of guys they salary dump, but if they cut Russ they probably need to move all of them (Patrick, Jones and Simmons being the other 3).Some rumors that Garett Bolles may be a trade/cut candidate in Denver. New England should be all over that.

Broncos are one of the more fascinating teams to watch this offseasonyeah, he's probably 4th on the list of guys they salary dump, but if they cut Russ they probably need to move all of them (Patrick, Jones and Simmons being the other 3).
Wow. That would go a long way toward helping out the Pats' tackle situation. Would help prioritise WR a little more. Let's hope he gets released & we're in the picture. Some rumors that Garett Bolles may be a trade/cut candidate in Denver. New England should be all over that.
Jesu Christe, for 100 milliseconds I thought that said Bill Belichick and I was happy.
McAdoo brought him to CAR, makes sense to scoop him up.Any help on the offensive side, especially the OL, can't be a bad thing.

Per sources, the Patriots are working on finalizing a deal to add former Panthers assistant OL coach Robert Kugler to the staff. He is well-respected and is seen as a rising star who could be an offensive coordinator down the road.
Matt Patricia is Tom Hagen, the adopted son who may be super smart, but his advice isn’t always great.Steve is Sonny and we kept Michael is how I will choose to interpret this. Josh is Fredo.
I was hoping for Stump Mitchell at RB coach. It’s definitely encouraging that the staff seems like it will be bigger under Mayo than under BB. Seems all that’s left is RB coach, WR coach if Troy doesn’t return and possibly TE coach as Will Lawing could easily follow Bill O’Brien to Boston College. Also need to figure out the status of Joe Judge (likely gone) and Evan Rothstein who was Patricia’s nerd that was brought in.
I always loved Blount and that guy showed up in the playoffs. Plus he was an excellent sleeper agent in Pit. Sign me up. Dobson owes us big time for fraying Tommy's nerves.I was hoping for Stump Mitchell at RB coach.
One name I saw noted worth keeping and eye on.... LeGarette Blount was here last year as part of the Bill Walsh Diversity Coaching Fellowship program, and has been posting about Mayo, so may be a potential option (other guy here under the Fellowship was Aaron Dobson).
Not a war time consigliere.Matt Patricia is Tom Hagen, the adopted son who may be super smart, but his advice isn’t always great.
Isn't O'Shea looking for work? He'd make sense as an offensive assistant, not assigned a specific position group, but working closely with Troy and the WRs. I am sure Troy has a ton of knowledge. He probably just needs a little direction and support on the messaging and overall management part of the job.I'm somewhat undecided about Troy Brown (mostly because I loved him as a player) but think they need a new voice. The WRs beyond Bourne and Pop have done nothing (though I'm not sure it's possible to teach guys how to get separation), and the route running hasn't exactly been crisp under his leadership. Guys bumped into each other less often last year than in '22--but that's hardly an endorsement.
2 years. Is T.C. McCartney officially the QB coach? That's the one hire that doesn't make a ton of sense (hasn't been a QB coach since 2019). The TE coach hasn't been hired yet and that's what McCartney's coached the last 4 years.
Good moves. The money saved is worth more than their current performance. Not sure why JC Jackson wasn't cut at the stroke of midnight.Lawrrence Guy and Adrian Phillips have apparently been cut.
NFL news roundup: Latest league updates from Monday, Feb. 19
Love it.Probably more rumors than news, but I didn't know if it was worth starting a rumors thread:

Bourne's agent hinting that he's working on a new deal in NE.
3/$15M wasn't huge, never had cap hit over $6.9M. His dead cap after year 2 of that wasn't much at all.Honestly I’d rather they pass but it really depends on the money. Hard pass on the same deal he signed originally.
Had 3/$21 in my mind for some reason3/$15M wasn't huge, never had cap hit over $6.9M. His dead cap after year 2 of that wasn't much at all.
Coming off injury I'm sure it might be a bit less, but this isn't horrible: Kendrick Bourne Contract Breakdowns, Salary Cap Figures, Salaries, Bonuses | Spotrac
He played in SF before someing here, so maybe has some familiarity with some of the concepts AVP will bring in. If the new staff wants him back I think keeping him makes sense.I think PFF projects Bourne at something like 2/14... I'd probably sign up for that, he's a good player who is versatile and at a reasonable price. This team needs to add 2-3 WRs between FA and the first 3 rounds of the draft this offseason to me. Bourne at a reasonable cap hit a 3rd round WR and then you can make a run at whichever of Higgins/Pittman/Evans/Brown you liked best and doesn't get tagged.
How are those grades arrived at?
