Huh, thought they would get a 5 at least. Maybe thought chasing a better pick risked losing musical chairs

As a Jags fan I am taking up a collection for a season's worth of bubble wrap for Trevor...smh

I'm not sure it's going to help him get back on track. What's Doug Pederson ever done with a backup quarterback?

If it is indeed for a 6th round pick, JAX have 2 6th round picks, 192 & comp selection 212. Obviously hope it is the 192 we get.

Are teams allowed to trade the comp picks? I seem to remember they could not but that rule may have changed.

Maybe Schefter is wrong and it's the Patriots trading a sixth to get the Jaguars to take him, and other teams wanted them to cough up a fifth

Do the Pats have to eat the $2.1 million left on his signing bonus and Jacksonville pays him his $2.8 million salary for 2024? is this a one year rental for a cheap back up QB?

I am not going to piss on him out the door. The entire thing is sad. The number of barriers he put in his way was immense. However, if he had listened to the better angels of his nature, perhaps he would not have been swapped today as he should have been.

Why is it sad? He was one of thousands of players who couldn't really cut it at the NFL starter level. Good move for the Jags at that price, I think Mac under Pederson could keep them afloat for a couple of games if Lawrence is dealing with something.

I'm kind of sorry the Hit the Road thread was locked. I still think "Canada" is in play.

Is the 6th conditional on Mac making the team?

So unless he washes out in Jacksonville, the only way I'll be running into him again at the Post Office is if he starts working there.

Happy trails Mac.

Mmm, MA proved too much for the Mac
(Too much for the Mac)
(He couldn't make it)
So, he's leaving the life he's come to know, oh
He said he's going back to find
(Going back to find)
What's left of his world
The world he left behind
Not so long ago

Oof, traded to a team where he doesn’t even have a prayer of seeing the field without an injury. Jacksonville is all in on T-Law, obviously. This has gotta be a terrible landing spot from Mac’s perspective.

Idk, being a backup QB, especially one that is still making first round draft pick money, is a pretty sweet gig.

Mac’s second act as this generation’s Chase Daniel wouldn’t be so bad.

Oh, don’t worry, I’ve been eating asparagus and drinking Hamm’s in the can for months in anticipation of this so I’ll handle the pissing.
