Talk about fake toughness. Who gives a shit if you're pissed now?SoxFan58 said:Lucic is PISSED
Regular season games with these shitfucks next year are going to be a bloodbath. Good.soxhop411 said:Darren Dreger @DarrenDreger 32s
Weise says Lucic threatened him in the handshake and said something similarly threatening to Emelin. Emotional series ends with tough words.
uh.......
no way, I hate Lucic, but I hate Neal moreGreg29fan said:
I'd do Neal for Lucic
You may hate Looch.. But Neal hate should really put that in perspective.BoSoxFink said:oh I know, but he's all serious
Neal is definitely worse than Lucic. Neal is also a better offensive player than Lucic. However he's a douche and I want nothing to do with him on the Bruinslars10 said:You may hate Looch.. But Neal hate should really put that in perspective.
I agree. Except I can't see Neal's offensive talent for the forest of douchebaggery.BoSoxFink said:Neal is definitely worse than Lucic. Neal is also a better offensive player than Lucic. However he's a douche and I want nothing to do with him on the Bruins

Agreed. He needs to take his medicine and stfu.cshea said:Looch acting like a baby after the game is more infuriating to me than them actually losing.
He told Weiss in the handshake line that he was "going to fucking kill you next year."Frank McBain said:What did he do that was so bad? I honestly wasn't watching the handshakes.
edit: crazy timing. full of rage. it comes and goes.
Out of context? No. I think I've threatened people on this board with worse.Frank McBain said:Yeah. Is that really that bad? Poor sportsmanship, sure.
The problem is - that was the most emotion Lucic showed all series. Had Lucic been a force on the ice AND said that in the line - it'd be a lot easier to look past it. Hell, THEN it would be understandable, he left everything on the ice AND he still had more to give.TheoShmeo said:Violent agreement that Lucic played like crap and would have been better served by using his aggression before the game ended. Violent agreement that Lucic's play in this series was rather underwhelming. Not that he was alone in that, of course.
But count me as someone who could give two shits about whether he or any other Bruin was a good loser. The hand shake line is a nice tradition, to be sure, but how a particular player handles himself in the moments after enduring an excruciating loss to a hated rival is about as low on my sports priority list as anything could be. And in some ways, in this era of players in all sports yucking it up with each other before, during and after games, I find it to be a little refreshing when a player's emotions get the better of him and he doesn't exhibit appropriate behavior.
Conversely, when guys on teams I root for aren't able to be good winners, it drives me nuts.
Thanks for that. You spared me having to re-type every bit of that after my iPad died.TheShynessClinic said:Out of context? No. I think I've threatened people on this board with worse.
But in context, it's cowardly. He waited until there was literally nothing he could do in the course of a game to run his mouth. He took one of the things that is supposed to separate hockey from other sports and tainted it.
It's just one more data point in the "Lucic is a moron" narrative - and when his mouth starts producing more than his play - it might be time to move on.
We get it.BoSoxFink said:God I really want Lucic off this team. Everything that happened during and after this round with him has made me dislike him even more. I cannot stand the guy on or off the ice.
PaulinMyrBch said:I have no problem with it. It wasn't particularly classy and in the world of high def cameras it was easy to catch. But I like the fact that its not easy for certain guys to turn the page. Your still pissed a few minutes after the end of your season...good. Hopefully it fuels the offseason and he sets the tone early next year. And I don't think Luc was horrible this series, I think his line was and I place more blame for that on Krejci than Luc. Even at 6 million per, I don't want him skating and checking for anyone else.
the one concerning thing about trying to trade him is, who is going to take him on with that 6 million dollar cap hit. Rats first line scoring winger money and I think we all agree Looch is not that guy and is vastly overpaid.Smiling Joe Hesketh said:
He was horrible. And if he's that upset that Weise scored and his team lost the series, he should have used that emotion and anger and actually showed up and tried to prevent it from taking place. He's acting like a child and I'm thoroughly unimpressed. Add to his no-show his galling lack of footspeed and the increasingly obvious fact that the Bruins aren't particularly suited to do well in the new playoff format considering they're going to be seeing a lot of smaller, faster teams in the playoffs from now on (Montreal, TB, NYR, Detroit) and I think trading Lucic away would be the best move the Bruins could make.
Honestly, I usually don't get caught up in this stuff, but he embarrassed himself and the sweater last night. Unacceptable.
Salem's Lot said:I'm with SJH on this one. I'm way more concerned with the lack of foot speed and finish from our first line LW making $6 million a year on the cap then I am with any of the crap he says in the hand shake line. Some team out west would probably offer a significant player for Lucic. they might want to investigate that.

I just blew your mind.
PaulinMyrBch said:Just curious but where do you rank Lucic on the list of players who underperformed this series? Chara, Rask, Krecji, Marchand, Miller? Where is Lucic on that list?
TheShynessClinic said:Lucic and Subban for Taylor Hall and Luke Gazdic.
Hall is an elite scorer who has some toughness to his game, and Gazdic replaces Thornton as a legit enforcer/13th forward.
Edmonton gets a veteran power forward and a future potential all star goalie.

Up there with Marchand as one of the two biggest disappointments. No legs, every pass was bad, missing open nets, no presence...nothing.
