Marca is about as reliable as Metro.

One other reason Liverpool will be rooting for Arsenal this weekend: the construction schedule on the Main Stand assumed there would be no matches at Anfield between the Palace match and a couple of weeks into the 2015-16 EPL season. Having Europa League qualifiers could screw with the construction--or maybe they'd have to move the matches. I can't imagine they'd play at Goodison. Maybe the Millenium Stadium would come into play.

California. Duh.
They did that during a team trip to Dubai to celebrate Toure's contract extension.  The amount of whining from fans about the players not looking completely miserable days after the Stoke game is annoying.

I actually think it was pretty cool.  They're a team of 20something guys having a good time, which is how it should be.  Even Sterling is in there smiling and jumping around.

Yeah, that's my point.  To me, it's good to see some camaraderie in the squad, no matter how silly.  The problem is the number of comments from Liverpool fans I've seen, where they seem to think the players should be walking around looking miserable for the next 2 months.

Personally, I think I was over the Stoke game before it was even finished.  It was so ridiculous that I couldn't help but laugh, and the completely over-the-top cheer we all let out at the bar for Gerrard's consolation goal brightened the mood.  It's not like we missed out on a Champions League spot because of a 95th minute equalizer.

According to this report (Daily Mail via Bleacher Report) Klopp may be back in play as well.

I'm not so sure I would want to dump Rodgers for Ancelotti but Klopp is a different story. (Well - they both are probably an upgrade - but I think Klopp would do better with a squad of youngsters)

So apparently Villa is scared that LFC might trigger Benteke's THIRTY-TWO MILLION POUND release clause.

I mean, I don't hate Benteke, but wouldn't that kind of money be better spent on like, any other non-domestic striker?

I think you're way off base on Benteke- he's outstanding. He's better than any striker Liverpool had this season (not saying a lot).

Your greater point may be correct though- Benteke seems to play best a lone striker...everything at Villa goes through him. I'm not savvy enough to know fro sure, but it's my impression that having one guy at the top hasn't been successful under Rodgers. It may not be a good fit, despite 'pool's needs and Benteke's skills.

Benteke's also more of a target man.  Rodgers ran off Andy Carroll and Rickie Lambert looked disconnected from the rest of the side when he played this season.  I know Rodgers has shown a willingness to adapt his tactics, but I don't see him wanting to play to Benteke's strengths.

There has been a big upsurge in "Klopp is interested in Liverpool" buzz in the last 24 hours.

I have no idea if those rumors are true but, if so, FSG simply have to show Rodgers the door.  It would be mind boggling if they legitimately turned down a chance to hire Klopp in order to keep Rodgers.  FSG has done a few questionable things since taking over but that would take the cake.
