time difference issue or another pouting Duke fan?Slightly concerning not his from is this tweet from yesterday:
Brad reached out to Kyrie yesterday morning and didn't hear back by game time. Probably meaningless but maybe a sign of some friction.
I always found Dantley to be one of the most fascinating Players of the 80s. Glad to hear that he is doing well.he's still busy working the lanes

Why is this Dukie ortho trying to give me angina in the afterglow of yet another remarkable Celtics win?Bummer this ended up getting done so close to the playoffs. This kind of thing is almost always an off-season procedure unless it suddenly becomes a major pain generator.
Not sure if there is any hardware left in there or not, but theoretically the bone will be weakened for a little while post hardware removal. I doubt they want him risking it for a few weeks minimum if they’ve taken everything out, but we shall see.
Regardless, in general it’s good news. No reason to think this will be a long term issue.
Could he be any more vague? Why is this Dukie ortho trying to give me angina in the afterglow of yet another remarkable Celtics win?

Do you think there’s any merit to this?
“It will end up being this kind of cyclable issue which will become a nagging problem for him throughout the rest of the season until he gets that hardware removed. The one danger is, if he’s already having a lot of pain and he goes out there, you continue to irritate the tendon, the concern is do you eventually rip through skin so that is a big concern that they have to worry about. I think there will be lingering effect from this injury - the patella fracture the the had - that will continue to effect his career.”Could he be any more vague?
* Knee surgery just prior to playoffs could affect his short-term performance.
* Multiple knee surgeries could affect his long-term performance.
I think that pretty much covers this piece. GJGE
Rip through the skin sounds incredibly painful and doesn't sound good in any context, yikes“It will end up being this kind of cyclable issue which will become a nagging problem for him throughout the rest of the season until he gets that hardware removed. I don't get what he means by "rip through the skin" here and I don't understand what "hardware" he's referring to, though I noticed Radsoxfan used the same terminology, so I was hoping maybe he could clarify.
That’s not going to happen.Rip through the skin sounds incredibly painful and doesn't sound good in any context, yikes
Looks like the article is based on a podcast that was recorded before the surgery even happened. Why is this Dukie ortho trying to give me angina in the afterglow of yet another remarkable Celtics win?

And yet it’s been such an inspiring season. Before Game 1, we weren’t supposed to win it this year. The team was supposed to gel and wait for the Warriors to start getting old or whatever. Well, this season showed us what we already should have instinctively known. Nothing is set in stone - the best teams on paper still have to deliver and avoid injuries. And meanwhile, not only did our team gel (incredibly quickly), but our younguns turned into stars before our eyes. Oh, and the team showed it doesn’t quit - ever, and we’ve been reassured that we have the best coach to lead them. I’m perfectly content with whatever happens from here on out.Kyrie out for the playoffs per Woj on Twitter just now. What a horribly unlucky season.
I forget how amazing he is offensively. That stretch after the all-star break where he was launching 3s was bordering on Steph-like. The dude has top-3 offensive player potential if he and the coaching staff can put it all together.Incredible 9 minute video of Kyrie. Fun to hear Gorman and Tommy lose their minds watching him pull off these moves.
I think lots of people have been guilty of this since Al and the baby C's went on the playoff run without him.I forget how amazing he is.
Getting me irrationally antsy for the season to start.Incredible 9 minute video of Kyrie. Fun to hear Gorman and Tommy lose their minds watching him pull off these moves.
Oh, it’s very rational...Getting me irrationally antsy for the season to start.
It has been made clear to me by multiple people: Kyrie never really wanted LeBron to come back in the first place, that he didn’t think that it was necessary. LeBron said something to Kyrie on the court following a game when he was with Miami, something to the effect of, “Keep going. Keep doing what you’re doing. You never know. I could be back here one day” or something like that. And Kyrie went in the locker room and basically said, “We don’t need that. What’s he talking about? We don’t need that guy.”
That story felt like nothing, but then this one came out:That's a complete click bate headline from Yahoo. So Kyrie made a comment after a game 5yrs ago that they didn't need LBJ. Miami had probably just smoked the Cavs and Kyrie wasn't in the mood. Jeesh, that Yahoo reporter should be ashamed of himself. A total nothing burger.
Tatum needs to work on his handle.Kyrie looks pretty good.
Go 64-18, score an upset victory over Golden State on the road in game five, followed by them strangling the life out of the Warriors to win the title in game six at home.I'm getting pretty pumped to see what this team can do with him back healthy.
From your lips to god's ears, brother.Go 64-18, score an upset victory over Golden State on the road in game five, followed by them strangling the life out of the Warriors to win the title in game six at home.

Yes pleaseGo 64-18, score an upset victory over Golden State on the road in game five, followed by them strangling the life out of the Warriors to win the title in game six at home.
That first kid's reaction when he knew he got cooked was priceless.Kyrie looks pretty good.
I don't think these 2 are on the same track, future contract-wise, but in terms of present value I don't see any plausible argument that Irving > Horford.I so want this guy to extend. I like Horford but if I have to choose it's not close for me
I like the imagery of game 6 in 2008 this post invokes....whether intentional or not on your part. Sign me up.Go 64-18, score an upset victory over Golden State on the road in game five, followed by them strangling the life out of the Warriors to win the title in game six at home.
Cs will have homecourt vs. GSW.Go 64-18, score an upset victory over Golden State on the road in game five, followed by them strangling the life out of the Warriors to win the title in game six at home.
And how do you make that plural?I hate the word "handles." The word is "handle."
One player only has one handle. Multiple players can have "handles".And how do you make that plural?
Or capability of realizing the context of how it's being used.I think your preference for handle or handles tells something about your age. Handles drives me crazy.
Yes, but that would ruin the 2K8 vibe.Cs will have homecourt vs. GSW.
Nope. Handles is pretty frequently being used in the same context that handle used to be used.Or capability of realizing the context of how it's being used.
