The protocols and phased return to play plan was negotiated with the players, so I'm not sure they have much reason to be livid right now. Nervous/scared might be a better description. I am curious to see if any players opt-out like a handful of MLB and NBA players have. Opting out runs counter to hockey culture though, so we may not see any. Carey Price made some comments about not feeling totally comfortable yet, but he apparently made the trip back to Montreal yesterday.
We'll see where the tipping point is. Getting to the hubs and bubbles is going to be a challenge. Phase 3 is training camps starting on 7/10, and the camps are being held at the team facilities. Guys will practice and go home but who knows where else they'll go. Boston seems to be in a good place with the virus right now so maybe the Bruins can get through it unscathed, but the Panthers and Lighting appear to be in significantly more danger and the Lightning already had an incident to deal with. If one of those teams has 5-10 players test positive and have to quarantine during phase 3, I don't see how you can move forward to phase 4.
